It's nice to see this team play as hard as they are, but it's not the refs it's the talent gap.
All of the Knicks offensive threats are streaky and inconsistent. I was hoping that they had enough shooters on the team so that at least 2 would get hot per game, but that hasn't been the case in the two losses.
Kanter still looks lost against pick and rolls. Robinson was playing out of position and still looks hurt. Knox went down. They have too many specialists and not enough two way players.
Even so they played, arguably, the best team in the east to the last second. Based on expectations being that they would lose most of their games, I'm not sad about this outcome.
pieces of this game. How did Trier look? I am not as knowledgeable as most of you guys on the Knicks but everything I have seen from him has been really good so far.

he has no fear when the ball is in his hands and not afraid to shoot, 1 of the few guys on the team that can create for himself..
sometimes he is tobe out of control ut with the scorer like that yiu take good with bad...
becoming a good spot up shooter will help when durant comes 😂
to wipe the Knicks out and in the beginning of the game that looked like what was going to happen. But the team competed with the best and that's a great sign for a rebuilding team without it's best player. Coach Fiz has a good feel for what his players bring which makes him good at making the right adjustments mid game.
We all know his weaknesses but 28 PPG is 28 ppg, 11th in the league in scoring.
I think it is safe to say that this was a good signing. THJR will never be a complete player but Knicks gambled his improvement in his last year with the Hawks would continue and it did.

Kyrie Irving's vow to re-sign with the Celtics next summer was a tremendous blow for Knicks fans.
They hoped the All-Star point guard would bolt from Boston to New York. With the choice to opt out of his deal in 2019, Irving admitted that he considered heading to the Big Apple following Saturday night's 103-101 win, but says he ultimately decided that the Celtics' talented roster was so promising that he couldn't envision himself leaving Boston.
“If you were in my position, I think it would be an easy decision for you as well," Irving told reporters, including Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston. "Thinking about who we have and the future and what we’re set up for … Being from Jersey, had history there, but Boston, there’s nothing like it."
vonleh should start at the 4 until knox comes back, getting down 10 every game doesnt help
Agreed. No reason for Lance Thomas to start. Let Vonleh start at the 4.

How so? It would've been a tied game. How do you know we would've won in OT?
Oh, sorry. I guess you meant in general (like the Vonleh and Trier misses). Yeah, very true. Can't leave points on the board like that.

Chris Paul and Rondo exchange punches.
i thought lebron looks slow and not his normal explosive self, although very early still getting in game shape
