and build a big, expensive OL. Hasn't won them anything, and it doesn't seem like it will any time soon.
Yeah, much better to follow that giants model and have your season over 8n October!
That’s a really shitty retort. The point is Dallas is lauded yearly for how amazing their line is and that’s how you win in the NFL but they don’t have a thing to show for it. I’d actually rather be the Giants, they don’t have to pay Dak Prescott.
Actually it was an appropriate retort, comparing teams models, you’re just butt-hurt over it because it’s true, get over it,

No team is tap dancing to a Lombardi Trophy on the back of a shitty OL. A good OL certainly doesn’t guarantee success but it’s definitely a prequisite to getting in the conversation.
You can debate how you build a quality line and the merits of burning premium picks on OL, but pointing at Dallas as an anti OL point is completely misguided.

I’m not butthurt about anything. Going 3-13 doesn’t bother me nor does watching the Cowboys squander their investment in their OLine.
For the record, your initial reply was comparing team models so try taking your own advice you clown.
that isn’t what I did at all and neither did JCN. We are laughing at Dallas investing heavily in the OLine and having nothing to show for it. It was a comment about the cowboys, not the Giants.
On what planet wouldn’t I want their OLine? When have I ever said OLine play wasn’t important.
But can someone explain why you kick it into the end zone when Washington had ten guys up on a hands team? Why not force Washington to return it and with no one to block for the returner hopefully pin them deep?
I guess maybe to save a few seconds but other than that, I don't see a good reason.

Did you miss 2011?
Teams go deep in the playoffs with mediocre OLs. I won't mention the Patriots and their investment since they're the outlier.
There are plenty advocating that we spend premium picks, resources and time acquiring OL before we address the QB position.

A plain language reading of JCN’s post would suggest otherwise.

The 2011 SB Champs had a bad oline.
To your point, that's the only one I can think of off hand.
hits the upright on a 52 yard FG to tie the game at 20 on the last play. The Cowboys were backed up five yards for an illegal motion penalty before the kick. That kick would have been good from five yards closer.

You can twist all you want, nobody said OL play was unimportant. Just that you can't ply a ton of resources into it, in particular ignoring the most important skill position on the field. You don't need premiere OL play to win, you just can't be the worst.
Dallas is going to be in an interesting bind - keep paying that OL or pay Prescott. Either way they're in trouble.
and pray it works out. They will invest in Dak, JJ wouldn’t be able to handle losing him and not being able to replace him and/or watching Dak have success elsewhere. They will also pay their OL because they absolutely cannot win with Dak without that OLine. The 2 entities are attached at the hip.
and it makes no difference to the Giants. What a sad season.
If there's any hope, which is doubtful, probably the best outcome for the Giants. Redskins are the only team in the NFC East they haven't played (and lost to).

Who are these teams you speak of? You’re creating some bullshit narrative out of thin air.
It amazes me that any Giants fan would advocate kicking the OL can down the road after watching this team the last 7 years.

was going to wait until after the Giants game. After all if NYG win maybe I'll have to look at the playoff race :)
