It appears based of recent draft projections and scouting reports that the upcoming draft is top heavy with DL talent (Bosa, Ferrell, Oliver, etc), and that many of the top QB prospects are considered more low-end Round 1 talents than blue-chip top 5 type talents. It may be in the organization best interest to address the DL in Round 1 and draft someone like Nick Bosa, and then grab a guy like Daniel Jones or Grier in Round 2. Just a thought...
I think this only becomes a possibility if Herbert stays in school.
That's the beauty of both Oliver and Bosa, they can play in any defense.
If Herbert stayed in school I think Jones would probably be a first round pick. He may anyways depending on how the rest of the year and the predraft process goes.
But if there is a pass rusher that can bring back what NYG used to have in that department, it is certainly a strong play.
expect to be eliminated after six games .
When you know where you are picking and what moves you make
even this season we may seems some moves and wouldn't be
a bad idea to accumulate as many picks as you can plenty
of need's .
With that said I would go to a difference maker on D in the 1st. Then try again to fix the OL.
Pass rusher, OK.
Etc

I wouldn't complain about getting a difference maker on D. However and I know it's early, but it sounds like the draft is deeper on D this year and if that's the case, I'd look for a top OL in the 1st.
We need to fix the OL ASAP, and allow us to use the playmakers we have to the fullest. I think with an O hitting on all cylinders we can get away with an average D.
That said if a difference maker on D is head and shoulders the BPA, then I think they'd have to take him and I'd be good with that.
FCS!
Agreed.... Also we do not have a 3rd round pick in this draft. I'd trade back and load up on the OL early in this draft. We need to fix this OL with some young talent now. OL this year, Barkley will rush for a 1000 + plusssssssss.
Problem is they are not taking a LT with a top 3 pick because we just signed an average one for a ton of money. They are not taking a guard that high or a center so they have to go Defense
I’d start Lauletta at QB, he will either be serviceable or he won’t. If not, we are in solid position to go QB in 2020. I’m not overreaching for a QB in 19 to make up for not doing it in 18, I’m fine with Lauletta.
