And Buch (maybe Zuccs)are our only guys who are considered goal scorers and they havent done shit to support that so far this season.
4 goals and 6 points in 7 games from a guy on a team that has little to no supporting cast is pretty decent, so could you please elaborate on your take that Kreider hasn't shown any goal scoring threat at all this season?

I certainly can. He has not been the type of point producer we thought he would be in his career and while he has had a fairly nice start to this year, I dont view him as a guy who can score enough points consistently to be considered a team's scoring threat. He's maxed out at 53 points in a season. Its not like he hasnt had people around him his whole career who could get him the puck. He has had a pretty underwhelming career.

Don’t forget Hayes. Pretty poor play by him too. I think Hayes and Zuccarello will be gone at the trading deadline]
Rangers forecheck was really really strong ... then it seemed Â

Career numbers I agree he's been underwhelming. Your comment about him not supporting his role as a goal scoring threat this season was what I would question. But as we've seen he and Hayes are both extremely streaky players, seems like if they get to 50 points in a season it'll be with a 12-15 game goalless drought sprinkled in. It is infuriating but I hope with Kreider having to take on a bigger role his mentality might change and spark him to become a 70 plus point guy.

That last opportunity he failed yet again point blank. Such a disappointing career thus far.
I think this year he has some scoring numbers almost by default of having nobody else wanting to score. Hayes and Kreider have been very meh thrpughout their careers.
He was a late first round pick. Not a lottery guy Disappointing career is a complete exaggeration. Consistent 20+ goal guy., good possession numbers, drives offense, good playoff performer. A very good second line player. Who is the best center Kreider ever played with? Stepan? I wouldn't go so far as to say he's consistently had guys getting him the puck.
As for the team, they're doing a lot of good things. Been a bit snake bit so far. That's alright, the process looks good
that looks like Hasek when he plays the Rangers! I thought they played really well and were forechecking very well until late in the second period, where it seems they ran out of steam. They had a bad couple of minutes that resulted in 2 goals, and this team isn't good enough offensively to recover from a 3-0 deficit. It doesn't look like we are going to make it to November with either the Rangers or Giants playing for anything!
guys, very low shooting percentage and a low PDO ("puck luck").
Especially if you have young speed/effort guys.
If the Rangers had a defense like Vegas did last year they could be an inspiration for success. Who is going to be the Rangers William Karlsson? Alex Tuch? but they don't have that D group, so it's likely a lot of games where they lost but outshoot the opponent by a wide margin. I like scoring chances as a better predictor than shots, but even then, high quality scoring chances for Kevin Hayes or Chris Kreider (sadly) aren't the same as high quality scoring chances for Matthews or McDavid (using extreme examples).
Fun to watch for fans though, especially if they get more youth involved.
That is true, but they are also losing games because they can't stop other team's superstars. Ovechkin, McDavid, Gaudreau all took over those games, and the Rangers not only don't have an answer defensively, but they can't go shot for shot against those guys with any real star talent of their own. Henrik is off to a pretty good start, and I like the way they are playing, but this is going to be a long season without any real scoring threat.
Their shooting % is around 6.5% (10% is normal the past couple seasons) and PDO is 96.6%, 100% is neutral.
I believe part of that comes from not having legit skill guys and some of it is probably running in to hot goalies. Will be interesting to see how/if it evens out of the season.
The Giants aren't the only team that can't score Â
That's not really what I'm looking for when I watch a hockey game.

Gaudreau
Quote:
Great goal by Boudreau. Cant turn the puck over like that with a scorer like him on the ice.
Gaudreau
Hahahahaha, my phone auto corrected to Boudreau. Have to save Gaudreau.
It should have been Kreider the way he was built up when he was 20/21. Then Buchnevich was supposed to be the goal scorer.
I guess Zibby has yo be in the discussion, but we dont have much.

Yup. And Hank wudnt great
As backups usually do

Yea, without Stahl this team would win the Cup.

Hey, Zucc finally got one... now Chytil needs to get off the schneid
