but I was thinking based on Dan's comment about the Bucks being a top 3 seed who I think the top 3 will be. It really sucks that it's 3 of the other 4 teams in our division... At least it seems unlikely that Kawhi makes it past this year in Toronto but who knows with him.
The NBA royally fucked up this Lakers situation. Ingram needed 10 games. Rondo needed at least 8 and CP at least 5. What a disgusting act by all.
And one other thing. I fucking LOATHE CP3. Could never win a big series if it mattered. Hurt again last year. The tough guy acts wears thin. That Rockets team is probably one of the most despisable teams ever. Maybe worse than the Bad Boys from Detroit.

-Hired Derek Fisher as head coach and Kurt Rambis

-Tried to instill the archaic Triangle Offense without the proper personnel
-Joakim Noah- 4 years, 72 million
-Melo- 120+ million dollar extension (later publically bashing him leaving little trade value)
He was fired days before the free agency period officially opened - I bet he had an agreement in principle with Baker that Mills decided to honor. Hornacek liked him, too.

That's reaching. You don't need to honor a contract with a subpar player once the person responsible is no longer in that position. Mills is shit on a stick too. His first two moves once Phil was gone was to give Baker a contract no other team would have given him, and then overpay for Hardaway.

if the Knicks decided to honor a contract that no one else would have given Ron Baker (2 years, 9 million.. with a no trade clause essentially). If they decided to not revisit that verbal agreement they had because they are scared of Ron Bakers agent, then they are even more stupid than I thought.

KD: "They did Ronnie Bakes like that? Yeah I'm signing elsewhere"
He just seemed like a such a "Phil" player, but Mills is more than capable of giving out an awful contract. Either way, Ronnie will be gone soon enough.
When you lose Ron Baker, you've lost middle America.

I am excited to see what type of progress he makes under Fizdale. He made big improvements with Atlanta under coach Bud, but regressed a bit last year under the clown show that was Hornacek. I think Fizdale will have a very positive impact on his development as a player. Not expecting him to keep up the 28ppg that he is currently at, but if he can settle in around 22ppg and continue to keep up his efficiency (currently has a PER of 21.9) then he might not be as difficult to move if needed for extra cap space.
RE: Gaines pointed out that Mario's a bad defender which is true.
looking to trash Hardaway but he's been the exact same player as he was last year... he's just shooting more. Last year 42% from the field, this year 41. Last year he averaged 15 FGA per game, thus far he's averaging 23. He may well develop further with Fizdale but there is no real evidence of this by the numbers. Rebounding identical, assists identical.

In retaliation for a summer rant by WFAN host Maggie Gray, Dolans MSG has ordered all of its businesses across the country to shut down working with Entercom and banned Knicks and Rangers players, as well as MSG broadcasters and personnel, from appearing on the station, according to officials involved in the decision.
In Grays summer rant, she called Dolan a vile piece of trash, among other things. The Dolan takedown was brought on because Dolan, with his band, JD and the Straight Shots, released a song called, I Shouldve Known, about producer Harvey Weinstein, his longtime friend, who has been accused of raping and sexually harassing dozens of women. Gray thought it was hypocritical in light of the Garden having been found liable in the Anucha Browne Sanders sexual harassment suit in 2007.
Last week, Gray apologized on-air for the rants personal nature, but not for its content. It was too little, too late for the Garden.
Entercom aired a hate-filled rant directed towards MSG, its employees and its Executive Chairman in August of this year, Kim Kerns, an MSG spokesperson, told The Post. They chose to take no action to remedy this until the start of this season. Only after learning they would not receive special access to players and coaches did they elect to offer an insincere half-hearted apology. We wish them no ill will. However, we decline to carry on a business relationship. We will continue to afford Entercom league-mandated access only. Link - ( New Window )
I wouldn't make any judgments on him one way or another.

I don't think Hardaway needs much encouragement to shoot more

My only point is yesterday someone said he continued his momentum from his time in Atl (which wasn't true) and this year he's really just shown he's shooting more. Yeah, if 20+ games in he's getting to the line more you can begin to credit Fizdale (I have major trouble crediting the HC with a player shooting a better % from 3 unless you start seeing him avoiding shots he didn't take previously).
I wouldn't be surprised if it got worse once they realized what Porzingis was,or what they think he'll be.

This has always been the biggest issue with Dolan. He tries to control the media. He has his employees within earshot of every interview to prevent the players from saying something that he doesn't approve of or a topic that he doesn't want them discussing. It's ridiculous to do what he's doing because he got criticized. You do not fight the media, you learn how to use them to your advantage, but big baby dolan can't do that because they hurt his wittle feelings.
He said Dolan's PR folks should've moved on after the apology, but they decided to rub WFAN's noses in it, and it was a mistake. Held the PR folks accountable, not necessarily Dolan, as usual. He threw Maggie under the bus with some passive-aggressive digs. First time I've listened to Mike for more than five seconds since he's been back - can't stand the guy.

Suppose Ron Baker is represented by CAA, which covers many multiple sports agents. If you were doing business with someone and a negotiated deal went sour, why would you direct other business that way? If a player was undecided and asked for your opinion, you wouldn't nudge them away from a franchise that jerked you around in a previous negotiation?
with Ron Baker, and Phil got fired before it came to fruition. I dont see why the Knicks would still have to honor it. Again, this is speculation anyway. Mills gave out the horrible contract.
They're playing great but rebounding is sure a f'in issue. Need another big man whether it's mrob or kp when he returns. Also they're missing Knox in this regard, I think.
I turned the Giants off to watch the rest of this game
Yup and another year here of seasoning. Reinforcements are coming but this year will be rough. They do play very hard though. I think its safe to say that Fizdale is getting every ounce out of these kids.

Every team that has been stuck with Rambis has been awful unless they had the talent to overcome him.
I agree. We did. Two days ago. Against the Knicks. He doesn't look like a max player to me.
KD or bust. Anthony Davis or bust. But I think Chicago might actually have the best shot at landing Davis.
The guy made one right move and a million bad ones. He couldnt have done a worse job if he tried.
21 points
4.5 rebounds
6.5 assists
All off the bench. Just give the man the 6th player of year award and comeback player of the year award.
