Everything
AcidTest : 10/22/2018 11:21 pm : link
is bad, including the OL, Eli, Jenkins, WRs running the wrong routes, and poor ST.

This game was pretty much like every other one this year and last. Our OL is so bad that the other team can get pressure with just four or five, and drop everyone else back into coverage. We also can't run the ball.

Solder is awful. I'd seriously consider cutting him next year regardless of the cap hit. We aren't going to be competitive next year anyway. Might as well eat all the bad contracts all at once, and get them off the cap at the same time.

We have a generational RB and WR, and can't move the ball.

Eli's total lack of mobility magnifies the bad OL play. He's also skittish, and is quick to check down even when there is no pressure. He's done. I'd like to see Lauletta after the bye.

Eli missed a couple td throws in this game... Please play Lauletta

And let see what we have in this kid... 9 games left should give us a good idea if we need to go QB in draft

was truly scary.

against a bad team, NYG adds two garbage tds. dysfunctional red zone execution. Horrendous play calling. No commit to Run.

COACH was a joke tonight.

OLine sucks.

if Eli called those sneaks shame on him. It does not really matter but just illustrates what a dumb and bad team this is. He was good at stat run ups between the twenties but did not play well in red zone.

And Booger’s babbling about Engram being a mismatch was behind annoying. Especially as he’s looking more bust like every game. Reese could have had either Ramczyk or Robinson instead. He’s a mismatch all right. Mismatched As a football player

His playcalling leaves a lot to be desired. He’s also made a lot of panic decisions that don’t make a lot of sense — going for 2, the 4th down calls in their own territory in Dallas, etc.

Just disappointed...I don’t see him out scheming anyone.
It is odd
Andrew in Austin : 10/22/2018 11:28 pm : link
I just don't expect Odell to get large YAC this season. My expectations have gone from guaranteed YAC to pleasant surprise. Nearly the opposite expectation I have for Barkley.

That being said - our OL sucks. Barkley does everything on his own and Eli is going to get killed this year.

Interesting stat lines - very similar between both teams.
Maybe the moron owner will sanction an actual rebuild this time
moespree : 10/22/2018 11:28 pm : link
It is what is needed. A total overhaul of the roster and start from scratch. At least you can stomach a young team with potential losing. But a team like is just a waste of time and money.

Trying to set up a win by dropping the lead to 6 points. If the GOD damn refs would have called the holding that took place as the defender clearly held Odels arm, it would have happened.

Its the right move - just game out the scenarios when you're at work tomorrow. It substantially increases win probability.

In a vacuum, statistically - I'd say yes.

Given that the Giants are woefully inept in both short yardage and red zone situations - I'd say the analytics should drive you to kick the PAT and hope for a stop and a long scoring play.

I'm as big a fan of analytics as anyone, but I think they need to be driven by a team's strengths and weaknesses, not just league trends. The only way I saw it working in our case was if the D could conceivably get two stops, and we could somehow manage two FGs to tie it up. There wasn't enough time for that, and the D wasn't going to hold up regardless.

He threw for 400 yards.

So what? Stats are only one part of it, and often a meaningless part. It wasn't nearly good enough.

If you're happy with the product the Giants offense put out because they threw for 400 against a shit D with a lead then it's a lost cause.
