There's no way they wouldn't mention it if they realized the reference. I thought it was funny. I believe that game was the day before my calculus final freshman year of college. I studied all day and caught a bit of the game. That day sucked for more reasons than one.
That Joe Horn set the franchise record with 4 TDs and did it, and Thomas set the franchise record for yards when he did it. Did Thomas know he was going to set the record that day? Now I think about it: did Horn wait until the 4th TD to do it? How did he know he was going to score at 4th TD? I just think it's incredibly coincidental that he had the celebration ready when he set the record (both of them).
I can't believe how often people on this forum are so shocked/flabbergasted by the threads that are started. It's a football forum and the guy started a thread about something from a football game and the first reaction he gets is "Seriously?..." Like you're asking him if he was serious about what? What is so unbelievable here? Can we save the "Seriously" comments for the people on this site who actually do have ridiculous and annoying behavior.

Well, maybe because it was already pointed out on the game thread?
BUT very risky in that situation. If the Rams had managed to pull off a miracle comeback at the end...and he gifted them those yards....I would be furious as a Saints fan.
I'm all for letting guys do what they want to do to celebrate. However, he knows he's getting a penalty for that one. You damn well better not do it in a situation where it could hurt the team.
I thought that was going to be the lowest point of being a Giants fan. Boy was I wrong.

the Joe Horn celebration was against the Giants, and that year we were as bad as we are this year
i really dont give a fuck what a 4/18er says
i can start a thread if i want
Way to cost your team 15 yards
Way to put yourself above the team
That's what I thought - looked like Payton was really happy about it too.
I'm pretty sure the NFL is going to fine him for that one
