Too many of the characters are two-dimensional caricatures. Non-sensical plot twists just for the point of plot twists.
Spacey was the only thing that held the show together. There was an attempt to put some depth behind Clair but it failed.
And Diane Lane is indeed smoking hot - just not hot enough to sit through the whole season.
I agree 100% Mike, you hit the nail on the head. Claire breaking the 4th wall is not as good as Kevin Spacey.. Also Doug Stamper breaking the 4th wall.. come on..
plot twist for the sake of plot twists.. in previous seasons you could actually buy into the plot and say it's probably a lot like this in DC..
This season felt like one of those bull crap shows my wife watches without me at night..
I'm maybe 5 episodes in. I see why some are saying it's a no-go, but I still like it better than most of the garbage that's on. Frank Underwood WAS the show, though.
Greg Kinnear as Diane Lane's brother, as well. I like Kinnear. He can play a good guy AND a prick pretty well. lol That can't be easy to pull off as an actor.
That series went off the rails when Frank pushed Zoe in front of a subway car.
I see what you did there. I felt the same way. I bought into some the unbelievable stuff in season 1. It wasn't that bad, but season started off with him dressed as Carmen Sandiego shoving Zoe in front of the train and no one notices him as he leaves the scene. I think anyone with any sort of peripheral vision would notice the guy dressed up as a my incognito tab. That was just the start of the downward spiral. I stuck with it til the end of season 3 and gave up.
Although they said there will be no more, in my opinion they left it open.
also nightmare situation in this.. even my wife said it when we watched it.. lol... When you get to it you will know what I am talking about.
Side note.. Diane Lane is hot as F#$K

Well, shit. I wasn't planning on wasting my time with it... but, now it's out of my hands.
She's still so delicious. She's 53!

My wife and I were going to rewatch season 5 to get familiar again, but passed and just binged it this weekend..
it wouldn't have mattered.. it is so far off the rails, I was wondering what I was watching. So unrealistic.

The show went on without him?
Don't tell me .... he was assassinated?
That show lost me after the 2nd season.
