There was a banner across all games that said "to get this game pay $49.00." The game was going on in the background. Don't know if it was 49 for that particular game or 49 for all the games. Direct TV said it was an error.
Hope they have an option to combine it with GamePass... Â
of DirecTv get it just for the Sunday Ticket? Overall, it is a horrible, overpriced service independent of the ST package.
I finally let go of Directv this year. Got tired of paying more, plus last year I think I needed the Ticket to watch Big Blue twice last year. They were on network tv here in MD all other weeks.

I was a loyal customer dating back to the days of PrimeStar. Initially, it was due to geographic location. But going back to the 90's, you had to brush snow off the dish. Or a really bad rain storm would interfere, etc. Got rid of them, and wound up going back due to a great promo deal. Still the same shit with rain/wind. Plus, they couldn't use the same mounting bracket on my roof from my previous install so they had to install a new bracket. Now, I stream the games with mostly no problem. Been doing it for 3 years. Much easier and cheaper than the albatross of shitty service with DirecTv.

An email went out to claim a refund. Hope you grabbed it.
I pay 119.00 a year and get the whole season out of market via the ROKU app. DirectTV needs to get their act together but since they are just small piece of ATT they will let it continue to crumble.

yeah. Here's the e-mail.

You may have experienced problems during Sunday’s NFL SUNDAY TICKET broadcast. While the problems have been resolved, the fact is we made a mistake. We’re truly sorry.
We love our football as much as you do, and our goal is to make sure that you can watch your favorite team – whenever and however you want. To help make this right, we’re giving you the NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX experience by adding the RED ZONE CHANNEL® AND DIRECTV FANTASY ZONE® CHANNEL to your existing service for the remainder of this season at no cost to you.
We will also provide a refund if you bought an NFL SUNDAY TICKET pay-per-day pass on 10/28. There’s nothing you need to do and all credits will be automatically applied to your account within one to two billing cycles.
Again, we’re very sorry for your gameday experience last weekend.
So they are selling a 'pay per day' pass? Who knew?
That was the only thing keeping me with DirecTV. Â
I was a customer of theirs for probably about 17 years and I just dropped them a few months ago for streaming. I dont miss it at all. I watch everything I watched before for much less, and if the Giants arent on locally or nationally, I just stream the game too.

I should have read more thoroughly. I already pay for MAX and I hope that amount has been refunded too. I get it solely for my dad to watch the packers on the roku app. Speaking of the app, I'm also very annoyed that short cuts is only available on it or the web now.

I have Comcast internet. When I was dumping DTV, I was going to opt for streaming my normal viewing. So after checking into getting a device and paying for subscription services, I had a baseline. I needed to increase my speed so I called up Comcast to do so, and they gave me a promo that was $5/month more than my baseline cost. So I have all my normal viewing and faster internet for $5/month more than what I was expecting to pay.
After the promo ends, I'll call up letting them know of my intention and see what they will offer.

MLB.tv looks great on a ipad or laptop but the quality sucks on a large TV. Its 'HD' but nowhere near 1080p. Frame rate is also an issue.
Frame rate is an even bigger issue for fast action sports like NFL. I'd much rather watch the games through directv's service than through a streaming service. You are guaranteed the quality and frame rate will be consistent.
That's been my biggest beef with life streaming sports in 2018.
so I said fuck you very much and streamed the games for free. Instead of $270 extra dollars from me this year, they got $0 because they refused to give me a $20 discount.
NFL ST is a pretty good service but MLB is the state of the art streaming service on the planet. Technologically they were ahead of everybody. I know someone there and he was astonished by their tech when he started many years ago.

I have playstation vue and stream all of my live sports with it. Picture and frame rate is flawless

I am trying to convince my wife to switch to a streaming service, and she is so against it.
Any selling points, I can tell her about besides the savings?

I stream on my PS4 also, but I'm out of market so Vue isn't viable for me. I'm starting to think the issue is with the non-native PS4 apps. MLB TV app was real bad this year and they IMO are the best of the sports at streaming.
I think if MLB TV Sunday ticket, etc were offered natively through Vue, it might be a different story because Sony takes a very apathetic approach to apps outside their ecosystem.
For instance, PS4 pro Amazon app doesn't even support 4k, I have to stream it through my TV's native app.
and just use my brother-in-laws Sunday Ticket login to watch the games. The NFL is way behind here, and should be offering a streaming package. Absolutely no reason to keep it gated behind one provider.
they had the option to purchase a season pass for online viewing. Live games but also all the previous games of the season were recorded. All HD. I loved it!
That is the model I would like them to use here instead of Direct TV. Basically a Netflix for the NFL. Purchase a game, a team's season, or the entire season with all teams. That would be perfect. I'd hope they team up with Hulu, Netflix, or one of the main providers because it will take while for smart TVs, Roku, etc to catchup and create an addon.
I'm surprised so many have issues in bad weather. I think I lost it once or twice in all these years and even then it was only for maybe 20 minutes. I actually like directv's service, but outside of football, I don't want or need all these channels. I also enjoy the wireless boxes they provide. That means during the football season I can move them to my game room where I have 3 TVs set up. I'm not illegally streaming so the ticket is my best option.
Why are people paying for this overpriced and outdated package again?
Most of the streams are illegal and maybe people prefer not to break the law.
They are also unreliable. I've tried a lot of them and then some. The quality is rarely as good and the streams go down all the time. The streaming I used from nfl.com was very high quality and I never had a problem with them.

First off, they are ALL illegal.
Secondly, I respect that opinion; but find it meaningless. A billion dollar "non-profit" organization that can pay for whatever laws they want...doesn't seem like an even playing field.
I don’t think 9.99 is going to be the offering, but I could see a 20 dollar price point work.
They don’t need DirecTv to distribute it. Cut the middle man and make all the profit.

Even do it game by game vs entire season for out of market games.
It's kind of what I do now. I pay week by week essentially.
