Over all the NY Giants have played in 5 Super Bowls winning 4 ,before Super Bowls The Giants won and where involved in multiple Championship games.
Looking at it from a non NYG fan perspective now we must come off as laughing stocks.
We haven't made the playoffs except for 2016 since the Superbowl run in 2011.
We haven't build a line even though multiple picks and free agents have been brought in.
The league perception is Eli has been done for several years but they keep trotting him out there.

The other perception from the media, not other fans really (could be, I don’t know) is that the Giants are a dumb organization. Old fashioned in a bad way - out of touch.

I never considered this guy being a troll. He does start a TON of threads after the Giants lose. Like 4 on the 1st page within an hour or so.
To stay on point - I think we turn this around 2020 with an improvement next year - I think the league is constantly changing in terms of building a team the “right” way. If the QB isn’t there at the draft - Bringing in someone like Bridgewater or Brissett to camp (they would need to trade for the latter). I hate the cycles we go through. I want to have a sustainable contending team. I know it’s time to move on from Eli. My sons facoritd player although he is starting to become a big Barkley fan.
I actually like Gettleman’s philosophy. The “hog mollies” (Eric hares this phrase) on both sides of the ball.

I have heard every one of those points mentioned numerous times by fans of other teams--especially the one about Mara's undue influence. But in your pea brain, you cant help but think these are points that I am making or believe in. unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to raise your IQ. So just try reading really SLOWLY, WORD FOR WORD.
And just for the record, I'm probably the biggest Odell fan on here and think his contract was a bargain.

I am surrounded by non-Giants fans (I live in the mountain west) and I can confirm this is what they think about the team right now.
There may be some who admit we have a nice legacy, or that we have had some great moments or whatever, they may even be envious of some of our success. But for the most part, Vanzetti is absolutely right with these takes, regardless of whether it is actually true or not.

We talk A LOT of football at work. When we are not just talking shit and have a serious discussion I've heard or been asked the following:
1. Barkley; Nobody has ever said that picking Barkley #2 was dumb. NOBODY! Quite the contrary. Everyone says that he was the best pick in the draft. Many even saying the Giants were lucky to have a high enough pick for once to grab him. Nobody has said the Giants should have passed on Barkley for one of the QBs. Honestly, nobody has said that to me.
2. On Eli; I've been asked what I think the Giants will do to replace Eli or if I think they should replace Eli. I've been told he still looks good but doesn't have protection. However, I've also been told he doesn't have it anymore. Most agree with many on here that say he is shell-shocked. Most say he is a HoF lock btw but it might be tough depending on his competition each year he's up for it. Honestly, it's not much different from here but without the extra drama.
3. OBJ; He's split just like it is here as well. I hear a lot less about the head case talk lately. Everyone admits he's a top 3 WR in the league. People still say Brown, Jones, and OBJ.
4. Vernon; Who? Sorry but that's the consensus.
5. Sheppard; Solid player.
6. Engram; Needs to secure the catch better but otherwise a great weapon at TE. I've been asked a couple times why they don't target him more in the red zone.
7. Collins; Are we going to extend him, shop him, etc. Lot's of interest in him from people before the trade deadline but now I still get asked if I think he's in their future plans.
8. Hernandez; Few say anything about him. The OL is so bad nobody notices. A few people have said he's a solid draft pick but say it's a shame a rookie is the best player on the OL.
9. Shurmer; Many thought he was a great pickup for HC. Now they are surprised he hasn't done more with what he has. Vikings fans told me we would love him as the HC but now kind of shrug their shoulders when they see me, lol. Many people ask why he doesn't call more run plays. I'm not sure if they want to see more action for Barkley or actually notice how little the Giants run the ball.
10. Gettleman; Pretty much the same as Shurmer except many believe we overpaid for Solder both then (when he was signed) and now. Several people were shocked that he traded away Jones (especially the COO of the company who is a Vikings fan). As soon as Snacks was traded I was asked who else was available during the fire sale. People also say he didn't do so well in FA but killed it in the draft.
11. General; Most people think the Giants are in a 3-year re-build. Some use to say 2-year rebuild before but most are saying they have 2 more years to go. They think we are in year 1 now as it started with replacing the Coaches and GM. Based on the past successes, most think the Giants will be successful again but not anytime soon. For now, the Giants are considered an easy win with only the Raiders looking worse (I think we are actually worse than the Raiders). Everyone thinks the Giants are tanking for draft picks and I'd say around half say it's for a QB.
Really it's not much different from here. It's a lot less dramatic is all. Did I forget anything or ... anyone?
