they signed Brown last week .I was actually worried that they were not gonna put in a claim for him but i agree there have some been puzzling personal decisions so far
Davis can give them snaps at receiver more than Henderson can if any of the other guys go down .I would imagine if he clears waivers they will put him back on the practice squad .Also has Kamrin Moore even dressed for a game ? They are stashing him on the active roster it seems
Yeah, weird move as the guy seemed competent. Hardly worth all the ire.
Other than Henderson, it's been an utter clown show back there on punts. Letting him go to hang on to the kind of worthless dreck that makes up the bottom 10% of this roster makes absolutely no sense.
There's no plan here. Gettleman is simply blindly flailing around, making moves just so he can say he's DOING SOMETHING!!!!
Maybe they’ve thrown in the towel for this year and want to keep players who have an upside for next year. Coleman was a high draft choice so maybe in their minds he could be the 3rd WR next year. You should be able to find another guy like Henderson. Or, not likely anyone claims Henderson so you bring him back soon
why cut a guy one of the few guys on this team that was doing their job. You could have cut any lineman or anyone else on a long list of guys who are terrible at their job off this team.
DG: "Morning ladies, everybody have a good week off? I spent my time in the film room watching the Hog Mollies and trying to figure out a way to get the Hand of God to touch the team. How about you nancy fucks?"
PS: "It was good, boss. I scoured Monster.com for grocery bagging jobs and drank a lot. Wait! Did I just say that out loud?"
TQ: "Kewl! Any luck?"
PS: "Got an interview at the Stop n Shop next week. Fingers crossed!"
MS: "Pretty good, Mr. Gettleman."
DG: "Who the fuck are you, shitstain? And what are you doing in my meeting?"
PS: "This is our OC, boss."
DG: "This is our new Center? Little small with some serious bitch tits. Are you a Hog Mollie, son?"
MS: "Uh, no no. I'm a coach, sir!"
DG: "What do you coach? Failure? Amiright, amiright? Eh, comrades?"
PS: "Boss, I figured we'd start with Special Teams this week."
DG: "Special alright. Like Special Olympics! They're fuckin terrible. Where's that idiot Quinn? He still around?"
TQ: "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..."
PS: "We can start with grading from the coordinator."
DG: "OK. McGoo or whatever, right? What ya got? And hurry it up, I want to announce my newest Hog Mollie. Got this guy right off the scrap heap. Eat shit, 9ers!"
TM: "Well, Quadree Henderson graded out as our best player - by far - for the second week in a row. Solid job on fair catches, didn't give up any yards. Heels on the 10 on punts, no mistakes there. Really reliable. Showed some nice vision and burst on returns and gave us solid field position. I really like this guy - a very solid pickup by the staff."
PS: "I agree, Thomas. He's been a very pleasant surprise. Good combination of playing it smart and taking a chance when the time is right. Plus it keeps Odell in our back pocket. I really, really like the kid. When our defense actually stops the other team, it's nice to have a guy back there who's reliable and can possibly break one. And I wouldn't mind discussing a deal in the offseason. Again, great job by our crew picking him up."
DG: "Yeah? How nice. We're going to go ahead and release him. I want him out of the building immediately."
years the best we could hope for on punt returns was a successful fair catch. Henderson actually advanced the ball. Who cares if he isn't a receiver? We have OBJ, SS, Engram, and Barkley. Henderson was never going to get snaps as a WR. At least let's see what he can do for the rest of this dreadful season.
Yeah, he did. I don't get this move.
He's the one guy who actually looked like he was competent at his job in recent weeks.
I have no idea what these guys are watching.
Managing expectations. If he broke one then the fans would expect a big return every now and then.
Really the only conclusion to draw at this point.
Yes. Still kind of a puzzler why it was a guy who actually showed something, when there's so much other dreck.
so they waived him. Not sure what's confusing or surprising.
Where the hell is George when you need him?
so they waived him. Not sure what's confusing or surprising.
Have you watched the cluster they have had for the last 25 games back there?
He was the only one that didn't constantly muff punts.
Let the fumbling begin!
Yeah, weird move as the guy seemed competent. Hardly worth all the ire.
Coleman might actually be the reason they’re making this move.
Hard to believe that there wasn’t a more expendable player - this roster is full of them.

A luxury? He was dirt cheap.
Yes, Giants went two and half seasons without a punt return of more than 20 yards.
