While Mullins had a great game vs Oakland. We are not Oakland. We are not that much better, but we are better than Oakland. Our defense is better, our offense is a lot better.
Plus this team has not given up like last season. Barkley, OBJ, Jenkins, Collins, OV and others are still playing hard.
San Fran will not be able to stomp all over us like they did last week. I expect a very close game.
I expect a Giants win Monday night! 24-17
2-7!!
can you imagine
The Raiders are the only team structurally and effectively worse than the Giants in the NFL. Succeeding against them is not a great litmus test.
More likely they fall behind and at the first sign of adversity in the game the team checks out mentally. This is a losing squad. Losing is now in this team's DNA. The team does nothing well.
I expect a loss.
Having said that, I expect this team to win, or at the very least play very well.
To state that the Giants have a "good chance" to win any game is being overly optimistic, in my opinion. They have a chance, sure. But not a "good chance".
From center to right tackle, the line is putrid. The LG is a rookie and of course is playing like a rookie. The LT historically was a very good player, but he is playing poorly.
A team can't be expected to win with an OL like this.
The season is lost. Wins do nothing but hurt the team for next year.
1) Help change the culture and possibly keep guys from phoning it in as the season runs down.
2) Help identify those who are part of the solution by playing hard out of self respect, and those that are making business decisions. That will be important going forward.
I know, it's just a silver lining. But I think we may learn something valuable if there is at least a hint some of these last few games matter. The NFC East is so bad 2 or 3 wins puts them back into meaningful games (at least mathematically).
Seriously this is probably the most important game to lose for the rest of the year. This game could EASILY decide whether we have the #1 pick or #2 pick in the draft this year.
Anyway, this year I'm definitely rooting for losses. Not for draft position, but because I'm hoping that Mara will be pushed to the point where he will evaluate and question everything about the organization up to and including the man in the mirror.
The Browns must have had a very sick locker room the past few seasons.
Of course in 81 we could have lost LT with a few more wins, so your point is valid

I've noticed your QB bias is getting in the way of some of your thinking since they picked Barkley.

In what game have they quit playing? The defense has gotten exhausted in a few games leading to late TDs. But they have not quit playing.
Philly - yep.
Win or lose, this franchise is a mess.
