FranknWeezer : 11/7/2018 10:50 am
Kyle Rudolph found out the hard way,
Okwara built like bull - ( New Window )
I thought he was solid depth

To see Snacks, Okwara and Kennard. Kennard may have a handful of sacks but he's still so stiff and slow on the edge, especially vs anything to his side, he just struggles to move. Okwara got eaten up in the wash a lot on run plays, he was mostly up and down, but I didn't see much impact. Snacks made a handful of plays as he usually does but I wasn't all that impressed with Okwara or Kennard. It shouldn't be a huge surprise that 3 former members of our terrible D are part of another terrible unit.

seems to me that most of DG's moves have more about getting rid of players more so than bringing in better players.Few of the players that he brought in are decidedly better than the ones he has jettisoned. Please do not tell me Martin or Barwin are an improvement over Kennard and Okwara. Or that Omameh and Pulley are better than Jerry and Fluker. Is Simonson an upgrade over Adams? Is Nate Stupor a upgrade over Calvin Munson? I think the are all just different and I think that may have been the goal...

I agree Calvin Munson was slow and poor in traffic but when thrown out there as the starting MLB in a 4-3 he was at least capable of making tackles, Nate Stupor looks like a down grade at this point and that is just one of a dozen examples all across the roster

A tiny part of me wants to agree with that, that he's cleaning house, bringing in whoever for now and planning for the future. That part of me that thinks that is shrinking by the day though, I'm starting to think he's just lost his mind.

I think what DG actually thinks he is doing is churning over the bottom of the roster and working the odds to try to find some diamond in the rough type player that will actually stick.

We are just so bad on the lower half of the roster, that is all he can do. If we had a better team overall, I think it would only be happening with the practice squad players.

He's trying to work the odds until something sticks.

I get it, but the probabilities of finding that person are extremely low.

Hard for me to reconcile this group looked at their play objectively and decided the ghost of Connor Barwin was not only a better player but worth a million dollars more.

When they signed that Josh Mauro, even though he was suspended early in the season, kind of figured this would happen. He showed some potential when he got a chance to play here.
I got arms of granite too.

Giants D hasn’t been terrible this year though. Pass rush sucks but they’ve kept the team in games despite the terrible offense.
