I guess they figure he can catch fades in the endzone and 50/50 balls at the sidelines? At least he doesn’t have the wear n tear of the entire first half of the season.
rooting for the Saints to win it all and give Brees another SB. If Dez helps them with another weapon, then I am all for it. If he plans to go there and be a disruption.....then yeah....I am sure the deal will be cut-friendly.
I don't think his attitude should be much of a concern for them - he doesn't exactly have a lot of options, so some of that should be mitigated right off the bat, but at the first sign of poor behavior they can just cut him loose.
Low risk signing for them. I don't think he's going to be much use, but at a low cost not a bad guy to take a flier on for them.

I'm rooting against the Saints and the Bucs and anyone else who the Giants own draft picks from.

Root against the Bucs all you want, but it won't help our draft. Those picks were in 2018.

He could give them an option in the middle of the field out of the slot in a TE/Marques Colston type role. It's basically zero commitment from the Saints - if Bryant is a dick they can cut him.
Good teams with smart coaches don't rest on their laurels.

I forget what it is like to be a good team with a smart coach!

You simply cannot make this shit up. The biggest “get off my lawn” guy on the planet, pretends to care about character obsessively, and you think this is a good move? Lol, of course you do.
If the Giants were in contention and signed this clown you’d be in complete meltdown mode. But another team signs him and it’s a good move and they don’t rest on their laurels. Yeah. Right.

Their commitment to Bryant is zero. He goes into that locker room as a beta that is trying to save his career. The risk to the Saints is zero.
You bring someone in to your team like this when you are confident in your locker room and can cut your loses easily. Patriots do something like this every year.

That is what I was thinking ... either someone is hurt and they are worried it might get worse or he is an insurance policy?

At least it'll be interesting to watch. Maybe he doesn't see the field much, unless absolutely necessary.

You mean the Lions
Potshots at Payton, why?
If Dez is stil Dez, then this could be a short stay...

Why not? The guy has plenty of skeletons in his past. He's no Saint.

Aaaah, I see what you did there.

Great contribution, as ever.
I don't remember seeing that. He has been rumored as a target of Dallas for years.
