Kid needs a break (no pun intended) anyway. He is obviously overwhelmed at the moment. Unlike most of the anti-Eli brigade, I have no ill will towards Darnold and hopefully he becomes a solid pro.

I hope he does well too.
People who feel he should have been picked as a development QB while the team rebuilds - not so much. How can you develop a QB properly with broken parts around him?
And get a breather while not actually being benched. Come back in 2-3 weeks refreshed and end the season on a high note. Can evaluate what he's doing wrong and see things from a different perspective from the sidelines. This isn't a bad thing.
on a sack while in the pocket is the play where he got hurt, per the Jets' board. Face mask was called.
Baldinger had put the play on his twitter yesterday, not knowing of the injury, but criticizing the Jets for running an empty set on third and long, allowing the Dolphins to tee off on Darnold.
Tweet is linked; it's somewhat blurry. If you have game pass, play is at 1:47 remaining in third quarter. Darnold's lower body takes a lot of torque from the face mask and he gets up limping.

Webb somehow gets into the game this week. He plays extremely well, and starts the following week. Webb winds up starting the rest of the year, and eventually becomes 'The Guy' for the Jets. 5 years down the road, and he is considered one of the best QB's in the league. True or False?
I think there's a better chance that Webb will start 50 games in the NFL than there is that Eli will lead the Giants to a .500 season between now and when he retires.

Some cant understand mobility..mobility isnt necessarily running around like fran Tarkington ALL the time..some are dense on it. Too complexed
We all have areas where we don't understand as much as the next person. I would love to know more about defensive coverage responsibilities. What areas are you lacking in understanding?

Actually I think the anti-Eli crowd wants Darnold to be an All-Pro so they ca rub it in the face of Eli fans
Define “mobile QB”. Because RG3 and Russell Wilson are at opposite sides of the spectrum and shouldn’t both be catoegorized as simply “mobile.”
I’m still taking guys like Wentz who’ve been injured over statues. Is this even a question anymore?
I think of mobile QB as one having escapability and decent speed as well as being a good passer (Cam, Wentz, Wilson..etc..). with someone one like RG3 I view them as a running QB because their biggest risk is the run, not the pass. on the other end of that spectrum would be a pocket passer like Eli
Somone like Eli I view as a pocket passer

Speaking of which Eli never gets the credit he deserves for anything but especially how durable he has been.
he finally gets what never happened when he was on the Giants

wouldn't they have to promote him today?

Nope actually, him being mobile saved him 7 more hits. It's about having a shitty line will affect both mobile and non-mobile QBs
