The Spy Who Loved Me has always been a favorite
RiffRaff : 11/8/2018 9:51 am : link
But I think Thunderball was my favorite Connery Bond.

The Daniel Craig Bond films have also been very good, especially the first, Casino Royale.

It’s probably my favorite. Just the perfect setting and feel for a spy movie.
I like
Pete in MD : 11/8/2018 10:02 am : link
the one where he seduces the hot chick, almost dies at some point, and then saves the day at the end.

Roger Moore...although not my favorite Bond actor, this would be my favorite movie.
Skyfall, Casino Royale
JonC : 11/8/2018 10:06 am : link
From Russia With Love, You Only Live Twice, and Live and Let Die was my first Bond film, so it's a fave, along with the theme song.
Live and Let Die

You Only Live Twice is the Connery film without Cubby and Salzman producing it, right?
Lots of good ones posted already
NYG07 : 11/8/2018 10:22 am : link
I always loved the man with the golden gun. Also, while Pierce Brosnan got mostly steaming piles of shit for scripts in his bond roles, I did love Goldeneye.

I love all the Bond films,

but I have a thing for The Living Daylights. Don't know why, I just dig that one.

Are you thinking of Never Say Never Again? That movie was truly horrible.

You Only Live Twice was Saltzman/Broccoli. After that was OHMSS with Lazenby. Connery returned once after that for Diamonds Are Forever before doing that tragedy, Never Say Never Again
Golden Eye
Reb8thVA : 11/8/2018 11:51 am : link
I enjoy the tank chase through St. Petersburg
I've always loved
81_Great_Dane : 11/8/2018 12:04 pm : link
"You Only Live Twice." Ninjas! Hot Japanese babes! I've probably seen it a dozen times or more. But last time I saw it, I realized it makes absolutely no sense.

"From Russia With Love," great, an actual spy story, not a superhero movie.

"For Your Eyes Only" - underrated. Again, a spy story.

The Craig "Casino Royale" -- excellent. "Skyfall," not quite as good.
Casino Royale
figgy2989 : 11/8/2018 12:06 pm : link
and how can you not like Golden Eye, especially the N64 multiplayer game that came out as a result!
I didn’t really care for Goldeneye
UConn4523 : 11/8/2018 12:19 pm : link
the game made the movie more popular/liked, IMO. He was a terrible Bond but if I had to choose one of his TND was my favorite due to the gadgets and cooler premise behind the villain.

Yeah, it was Never Say Never Again.
Skyfall and From Russia With Love
RobCarpenter : 11/8/2018 12:23 pm : link
Also isn't "Never Say Never Again" basically a remake of "Thunderball"?

It IS a remake of "Thunderball" -- there was a loophole in the rights deal for "Thunderball" that let them remake it. They couldn't use the classic James Bond theme or lots of other Bond tropes, but they could make the movie.

"Thunderball": Claudine Auger, holy moly.

Directed by Irvin Kershner of Empire Strikes Back fame. He only directed two movies after ESB. Never Say Never Again and the comically bad RoboCop 2 (you got any Nuke, man?)
Best Bond theme song, hands down -

GOLDFINGER

Shirley Bassey nails it.

Mr. GOLDFINGER, wa wahhh wah

OHMSS has the best script, but the wrong Bond. The rest of the Conneries, are good, Spy Who Loved Me was good, the Craig's have been decent to pretty good. Blofeld IS NOT Bond's brother.
Goldfinger

Kinda odd that Jill St. John was in the same movie as Lana Wood.
Moonraker
eli4life : 11/8/2018 6:04 pm : link
I know I know it sucked but it was the first one I ever saw. I was 6 or 7 at the time
I always enjoyed Roger Moore films when I was a kid
Larry in Pencilvania : 11/8/2018 6:57 pm : link
But when I got older I gravitated to the more serious Sean Connery flicks. I first liked Diamonds Are Forever, most likely because the film was a little campy.

I'd have to say Goldfinger and From Russia With Love. I always loved the fight scene on the train in the latter film
I really enjoyed the run of these three in a row...
bw in dc : 11/8/2018 7:15 pm : link
Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, a Skyfall.

I’ve been surprised how good Craig has been.
Dr. No
arniefez : 11/8/2018 7:21 pm : link
and Goldfinger.
The World Is Not Enough
Bramton1 : 11/8/2018 7:41 pm : link
My first Bond movie. Christmas Jones not withstanding.

From Russia With Love
Live and Let Die
Tomorrow Never Dies
Casino Royale (Daniel Craig)
I actually liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond
Anakim : 11/8/2018 9:43 pm : link
As someone said, it's not his fault that the plots were crap. He made the most of it.

I heard he was supposed to be in the Bond films after Moore, but for some reason (can't remember why_ Timothy Dalton got it and Brosnan was devastated because his hero growing up was Sean Connery.

He was under contract for "Remington Steele" and they wouldn't let him out to do Bond. So the Bond producers went to Dalton. Once Brosnan was done with the series, they signed him and Dalton was done.
The only Bond I didn't like was Dalton. I thought Lazenby
Ira : 11/9/2018 6:06 am : link
should have done a few more. I felt that Judi Dench was the best M.

Thanks
If cannot pick Goldfinger
