NFT: What's your go to food when you need....

to become un-constapated.

I know fiber, fiber, fiber.... but sometimes it just doesnt do the trick for me. And sometimes I can get it around it by eating every day food for a meal.

1. Pizza and a sprite. For whatever reason, its like magic.
2. Turkey Sandwich with seasoning plus OJ.
3. Onion rings.

Again, not some of the healthiest choices, bu when you gotta go, ya gotta go.

Not a food but warm water with squeezed lemon in it. Drink a couple of those and you'll be ready to go. I know it sounds way too simple but it works.

I should also mention it's best in the morning when you wake up. I started doing this every day for the past couple of years and I swear by it.

life I've ever been constipated was after taking opioid pain meds post surgery when I broke my foot three years ago.

That feeling alone seems like it should be a major incentive to not get hooked on opioids, but I know it's not that simple.

If I could have walked or driven a car I think I would have gone to taco bell or other fast food place to break the dam.

I did nothing but stop taking the pain meds and gradually began to function again.

but fast food, specifically taco bell, would have been my first choice.

My uncle owns one and he is the 3rd generation owner of the place. He always told me Magnesium Citrate...or as he called "Shit straight of Magnesia" and I used it once.

Steak and sauteed kale. I dont eat this specifically to drop on, but I just happen to smash fierce whenever I eat this combo. I blanch the kale for three mins, then throw it in an ice bath. Then I grill up my steak (no rub...just s+p and olive oil). Then once the steak is off and resting, I heat up a pan, olive oil, and brown the garlic. Toss the kale in the pan for about 7 mins and enjoy. 15 mins after eating, you'll be touching fabric.

That was a staple food item when I lived back in the old country.

Couple cups of coffee always seems to keep it moving.

Or bran/flax cereal. Make sure you have plenty of water and eat an orange or two.

Green leafy vegetables also help.
