Can’t wait for this. Easily one of my favorite bands ever. Haven’t seen them since 2012. This will be a birthday present for my boys. Link - ( New Window )
I'm thinking about flying down to Florida for the Ft. Rock Festival depending on the bands. I was also thinking of heading down to Florida to see Ozzy and Megadeth.
I haven't seen Maiden since 1992 and I'd love to see them one more time if I can get someone else to join me
oh Earth and sea, for the Devil sends the Beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the Beast
For it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty six
Too bad no msg. We have a suite there and I was hoping to see them there.
Probably the best show of theirs I saw was at L'Amour in Brooklyn as Charlotte & the Harlots. They were doing a surprise show for for their 1988 tour. It was a great show and I move to Florida a couple of weeks later and would see the full blown production at the Hollywood Sportatorium. That place was a dump
are still around. I played guitar in a band in the 1980s that played many Maiden covers. They were my 2nd favorite band back then after Judas Priest. Maiden was also my first concert as a teenager at the Palladium in 1982. I am no longer a fan (my musical tastes changed by the late 80s), but it is a cool nostalgic feeling to see that that are still going.

My first was maybe 85 at the RPI Fieldhouse. I think Priest opened.
Then it was Yngwie Malmsteen the next year at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
I think.
My most recent show was at the NJPAC with Dream Theater. They're the best.
I hosted a company training event at the Long Beach Arena a few years back. Walked on stage and said “Scream for me Long Beach” to get the crowd ready for a speaker. I got nothing. I finally got them going but when I walked off stage all the stage hands high fived me. They knew what I was doing. Lol
And they were still incredible. Their set list included a good mix of some of their newer songs with the older classics. Bruce’s voice is still amazing and Dave, Adrian and Janick all manage to complement each other.

The Hollyweed Snortatorium!! I loved that place back in the day!! Saw tons of shows from 85-87 there, including the World Slavery show in 85. Yeah it was a dump.
I will be going Aug 1 for sure and maybe talk my brother into going to the Vegas show for his bday.
Iron Maiden Piece of Mind tour at MSG with Quiet Riot
Saw them on the Powerslave tour as well at Radio City
I also had a band in the 80's that played as much Maiden as we could do with the singer we had. He could handle a lot of Dickinson's stuff, but we played a lot off the fist two albums because Paul Di'anno had an easier range.

Ha. Same thing. The band ran from about 82 to 85. I haven't listened to or played that stuff in many years, but we played Where Eagles Dare, The Trooper, To Tame A Land, The Prisoner, Run to The Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Iron Maiden, and others that I don't remember off the top of my head.
Check out my guitar orchestra performing a suite of pieces I arranged! Yours truly conducting.

I didn't listen to the whole thing, but I did listen to various sections. Really awesome. I used to play in guitar orchestra but it was all classical music. A guitar orchestra is such a cool sound. Great job!

He hadn’t heard of it, let alone listened to it. Another co-worker and I immediately and excitedly recited the intro together.

You gotta go to the Maiden show in your Giants jammies.
1985 at Radio City Music Hall and Nassau Coliseum
Some time in the 2000s at MSG again
2017 at Barclays
All great. I definitely will be going to this one.
