'What beer should I get? Should I go with the 8.0 ABV or the 7.2? 8.0 means I'll get drunker quicker & forget the game. Yeah, let's go with that one. Go Giants!'
I might be one of the few still reading these game previews, or so-called game previews, but respect your insight. You mentioned having to replace both tackles in the off-season. Do you think Solder will also be cut after signing him to a huge contract?! I think he’ll be here at a minimum of another year and hopefully he can redeeem himself in that time. I think next off-season will be devoted to finding the best Center available and Right Tackle. Depth, of course, should also be a strong consideration.😞

If he doesn't play better than he has, I see no point in holding on. As Sy has pointed out, he's playing as poorly as Ereck Flowers.

Dude I am with you. The only other thing that gets beaten worse than the giants the last 2 years is my liver.

Like a drum. My liver is pleading with the Giants to clean up their act.
I still read them because I know you won't include Â
I listened to a Big Blue Banter podcast and I think it was Nick T that reviewed his tape and felt that his performance has actually been pretty good aside from the obvious sacks with some of those really attributed to Eli. In addition, he\\Solder actually has a decent PFF rating and David Diehl defended his play and explained how the rest of the line's play was the cause of some of the problems.
Have to give him the rest of this year and next year. The overpayment is unfortunately the cost of bad drafting.
I live in Florida but take a ski vacation most years in the Rockies. I've got my NYG parka, NYG gloves and NYG wool cap. (If you see me out there, come say hi!) As Eric says, the gear still gets lots of respect. All franchises go through their ups and downs and this is clearly a down time for us. But still proud to be a Giants fan and hey, it's still about loyalty. All we need is a new franchise QB, an OL, an...,....,...,....To heck with it. Go Giants!
In some ways, this may be the scariest two sentences Eric from BBI... Â
"Giants fans are a loyal bunch. But we’d prefer to see things moving in the right direction."
Why?
Because we all know that the Giants are moving in exactly the WRONG direction, and there is not a hint to be found ANYWHERE that they've finally put the breaks on their depressing free fall.
We all just want to hang our hats onto something. But right now, all we've got is a hat rack of a team.

This was a panic free agent signing. He is a middle of the road tackle who was overpaid because he was the only one available. I would much prefer taking the salary cap hit next year to clear the decks for 2020. It’s what they should have also done with Vernon’s contract this year.
They're stuck with Solder for the foreseeable future Â
One would think it would be a bit embarrassing to do a second house cleaning . Were in expansion team territory
I mean nowhere to go but up right ?
Would this set us back further as far as the younger players
on the team learning yet another system .
Do we then just release Eli say if we to Herbert or whom ever . We need a dominate Pass rusher do you have any
reservations about Nick Bosa ? I don't think Ed Oliver is
a fit . We still don't know if Herbert is coming out my
hope is that he does and we take him !
I still give you an A Eric you would need a Ouija board
to break this down .
RE: RE: I still read them because I know you won't include Â
ummm, my post sounds snarky ... not what I intended ... lol
I only meant that reading about X’s and O’s wouldn't be very interesting at this point of this season ... didn't mean to suggest anything else ... haha
There are still plenty of us out here....
In 2007 after we lost to GB in week two you posted a famous painting of an insane man or something shortly after the game...maybe in the game write up as we were 0-2, had given up 80 on D, and it appeared we were going nowhere fast. After you posted the painting we won 6 straight, etc..just saying. I am just a little stitious
