We have picks in what, by rounds, the 1st,2nd,4th,4th,5th, 5th,6th,7th,7th, plus a 4th rd comp and possibly a 5th rd as well? We may possibly keep the 7th rd number one pick we traded for Dixon? Is that right?
-Very unlikely they keep the 7. Dixon has cemented his role as a starter.
-Usually the comp pick monster is bit unpredictable. If they had one 4th comp pick I would take it.
Down from 1 into 2_3_4 and up from 4_5_6_7 into 2_3_4.
Or something to that effect.
End up with maybe 10-12 picks between 2-4.
Even better if some are sequential. Such as first four picks if second round and first 3 of third, etc. Sequential or close to would allow the staff a much better thought process.
unless we get a haul including a 1st round next year. Why give up a chance at a blue chip (DE Bosa, DT Oliver, CB Greedy, OT Williams and possibly Herbert) for a few extra picks.
I am in favor of moving up if we have multiple rd 4s and 5s to get into the 3rd round for a player they want.
I would like them to trade a pick or two for a better pick in 2020. Trading a 4th this year for a 3rd in 2020 for example. Eagles and Pats do it all the time. Will be important if we don’t draft a QB in 2019.
One 1st rounder (own)
One 2nd rounder (own)
Two 4th rounders (own and Saints)
Two 5th rounders (own and Lions)
One 6th rounder (own)
Two 7th rounders (Rams and Vikings)
Are you saying the Giants have:
1 - First rounder
1 - second rounder
0 -3rd rounders
3 - fourth rounders
3 - fifth rounders
1 -sixth rounders and
2 - seventh rounders
For a total of eleven? and a potential additional fourth to fifth if Lattimer or Mathews is cut?

OTC says they could pick up two more seventh round compensation picks if two of the following three players are cut: Martin, Latimer and Thomas. It may be already too late in the season to get the compensation picks. I do not know if its by the 10th game of the season for the Giants (next week) or by the 10th week of the season that you have to cut these players.

Guess what. It’s before week 10 that players have to be cut and not game 10. Therefore, the cutting game is over. Playing time could affect compensation picks.

Spitballing.
So we go with QB plus 9 offensive lineman.
problem solved...

You can only dress 8 on game day plus we have Hernandez. Ill splurge a pick on an edge rusher or free safety. But nothing before a 7th.
This represents the Giants releasing Omameh
You can add another Fifth
1 - First rounder
1 - second rounder
0 -3rd rounders
3 - fourth rounders
3 - fifth rounders
1 -sixth rounders and
2 - seventh rounders
