I know everyone's hate-watching at this point, and only commenting about the show to shit on it and virtue signal how smart they are for hating it.
That said, if anyone had fallen off the wagon and didn't want to invest the time in catching up, this might be a chance to jump back into the series - episode 6.
SPOILERS not including last night:
**Rick is gone. He was thrown from his horse and impaled through the gizzard at the end of episode 4, suffering an apparently fatal injury. He spends episode 5 leading a mob of walkers away from his people while he's bleeding out, and in an apparent final act of self-sacrifice, dynamites a bridge to take out the advancing hoard. Rick himself also appears to perish in the blast, but he actually comes to rest on a downstream embankment, where Jadis (garbage dump woman) swoops him up and spirits him away by helicopter, presumably to live another day. We know virtually nothing about who's flying the chopper and what group they're with, but Jadis appears to know them well.
With Rick gone and presumed dead by his people, the story jumps forward about two years. Negan is still locked up in a cell in Alexandria, possibly losing his mind. Judith is now about five years old, wearing Carl's hat, and proficient with a revolver. And this is where the story picks up.**
Just this once...

mud thing. Has that worked before? I can't remember them ever trying it?
Just this once...
That's actually all I could think about when I was watching the scene lol
Certainly worked for John Rambo
I just took a guess. The one shot I saw of her (end of Ep. 5), she looked pretty tiny.
I was kind of bored until Carol went off. That was pretty cool to see.
The mud worked because they are people wearing the dead's skin not really walkers.
According to Talking Dead it is six years after Rick's death.
Good to see Carol going back to being the real badass she is. Nothing like setting a bunch of people on fire to get even.
Looks like they got the message and the new show runners are ramping it up. Getting back to the comic stories
Overall a good episode.
And anyone who read the OP.
Good old Carol, never met an enemy that she would not burn alive.
It still sucks. These people are all fucking morons.
This is the closest I've ever come to calling it quits. I feel like the jump in time is perfect time to exit. The show I liked and grew to loathe is no longer there. Just an equally loathsome extension of the universe. I think it's time to say goodbye.
They could have ended it pretty much at the end of Neegan war.
Showing that people are going back to more civilized times and that they are better together then fighting alone.
It's an AMC cash cow, so until people just give up on it, it will continue.
