is one of my first memories of the Giants. I was 6 and remeber thinking how it was just him followed by 10 white jerseys and they never even gained ground on him.
That 1990 NFC Championship game was loaded with big plays. Reasons' fake punt, Marshall's sack, Howard's forced fumble recovered by taylor, Hostetler-to-Bavaro on 3rd & 17, Bahr's 5th field goal at the gun...
That was the best football game I've ever seen, and probably ever will see.

The 2012 NFCC wasn’t too far behind
Agreed. That was the most emotionally draining (in a good way) game I've ever seen. Well, it was emotionally draining "in a good way" because of the ending lol. But emotionally draining because of the length of the game and how close it was the whole time, not emotionally draining like, say, the 2002 playoff game which was more just insanely frustrating to watch screw-up after screw-up and a gradually dwindling lead. I remember after the 2011 NFCCG I felt like I had been on the field and played the full 5 quarters with the team. Never felt quite like that with any game I've ever seen before. It was awesome.
How sad is it to have this game tonight mean absolutely nothing. Its rare you get a coast to coast rivalry like this one. They have played 8 playoff games vs. each other including 3 absolute epics (90, 2002, 2011). Not to mention some classic regular season games. Montana, Simms, LT, Dwight Clark, Joe Morris, Banks, Lott, Charles Haley, Roger Craig, L. Marshall, Eli, Cruz, Harbaugh, Parcells, Walsh, Seifort, Coughlin etc... the list could go on forever of HOF players and coaches and really good players that have been involved in this epic rivalry. 9 SB's in the past 37 years between us, an avg of basically one every 4 years. And its come down to this shit fest on tap for tonight. Sad.

Well it could mean a higher draft pick, so there’s that. 😎

Of all the classic lines uttered in football, that may be the best.
Of course Pat was a Giant!
