NFT: Ned Devine’s

Bleedin Blue : 11/12/2018 2:21 pm
Any Bug Blue NOVA fans been there, is it a good place to catch the game???
Just moved to the area scouting out places. There’s a Glory Days right by me, but I think it might be loaded with Skinz fans.
Which location?
bradshaw44 : 11/12/2018 2:24 pm : link
Herndon/Clock Tower?
Glory Days and Ned Devines?

Did you move in to Fox Mill or Bradley Farms by chance?

My daughter sent me a link, I was assuming Herndon??? Half off steaks for the game, said it was home to BIG BLYE NOVA. Is Clock Tower closer to Fairfax/ Oakton area??

No idea where that is?? I’m in Fairfax/Oakton Regents Park until I find the area where we want to buy.
Sorry I should have been more clear...

Clock Tower is what we call the shopping center in Herndon. There is a clock tower in the face of the shopping center and there is a golds gym in it. But we all refer to the shopping center, in general, as clock tower. Real name is McNair Farms and it's located in the town of Herndon right by the dulles toll road.

The Glory Days you're probably thinking of is in Fox Mill shopping center about 3 miles away but is also technically Herndon.

Ned's draws in the locals so you will definitely have your fill of Skins loyalist a-holes there. I've never gone for the Giants game. Maybe they do have a group that goes there. I'm not too far from there now. Maybe I'll come out one day if it's worth it.
Ah you're out that way...
bradshaw44 : 11/12/2018 2:34 pm : link
Gotcha. Not sure how the crowd is there. The Ned's is in downtown FFX. Right by the courthouse. DON'T drive if you are going to have anything to drink. It's cop central.

Thanks!!

Here’s what my daughter sent me http://www.neddevines.com/.
The Glory Days I’m talking about is in the Pan Am shopping center, my daughter said it’s a new location. I can walk to that one or have the wife drop me off and pick me up so no worries about driving. Here just 2 weeks, getting settled in, trying to see how I’m going to be able to catch Giants games Down here.
That link is definitely for the Clock Tower

shopping center in Herndon. If you can walk to Glory Day's in Pan Am shopping center then you aren't near that Ned Devine's. You're more in the Nutley St. FFX/Vienna area. That's quite a hike to Herndon just for a Giants game. Herndon is in Fairfax County, not the town of Fairfax proper.

I would recommend the Glory Days at Pan Am just for convenience. If you get a chance to drive the area and go to Herndon you will see what I mean.
I'd go to the Glory Days...
bw in dc : 11/12/2018 2:51 pm : link
at the Fox Mill Shopping Center. I've been to both and prefer GD - better food and there isn't a bad spot in the place to watch the game...

From Devine's your are about a 6-7 minute drive away.
Wow, blast from the past.....

I lived right around the corner from Ned Devine's about 12 years ago.

We used to go to Champs near Reston Towne Center, don't know if that's still around or not.

You know what a fun place is? Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Old Town Herndon. Jimmy is Bills fan, and it is a Bills bar for sure, but nice and fun. Scott Norwood known to stop by there from time to time, or used to :)
Yea but BW

he's over off Nutley St near exit 62 off 66. He can walk to the Pan Am Glory Days.

Champs in Plaza America is gone. There is a lot of new construction going on over in those parts now. They are trying to be more like Tyson's these days.

Agreed. But didn't you move down to Richmond? Last I heard, the Fan District and West End were moving in that direction as well. Although I haven't been down there in several years so I could be way off base.

thing about Glory Days is you get your own speaker box so you can tune to the game sound you want. It won't make a difference tonight but is helpful most Sundays when multiple games are on.

Yes, that’s exactly where I am, off of Nutley. Thanks, I will give Glory Days a Shot, who knows a few Giants fans may be in the area.

That's the West End, Short Pump area. They are a wannabe NOVA. I try to avoid it over there.

Give it time. Richmond will fall just like NOVA.
UPDATE
Bleedin Blue : 11/13/2018 9:04 pm : link
Well, decided to hit Glory Days right by the House. Wasn’t crowded at all, I guess the Giants aren’t a draw in this part of town. I seemed to be the only Giants fan in the house. Hey at least I got to watch Eli pull off a 4th Qrtr game winning drive!! The food wasn’t bad, good specials.

Thanks Again for all your advice!!
