IMO if Eli comes out and shits the bed they have to bench him if not next week they need to at least move Lauletta to number 2 and get him ready.
I don't think they have to win for him to continue to start but he has to elevate his play and not be the reason they loose. We all know the line is what it is BUT he can't look like dog shit again after a bye week without some kind of change?

If Lauletta ends up being our starter next season, he will still be doing it behind a line that is sub par. We may as well get him used to what life is going to be like during a lost season.
if you recall, Eli came in after (5 games??) his rookie year and the rest of the way that was nothing more than just practice.
Watching games this weekend Seattle - Rams, Cowboys - Eagles, Steelers - Panthers - actual holes for the running back to go through and the qb's getting sometimes 5 seconds to throw the ball!!

As far as seeing Lauletta this year behind this line. Yes I think that is a good idea. All rookie QB's take their lumps, take a pounding, even the HOFers like Aikman or Peyton or Eli. May as well find out how Lauletta will handle it and if he has a chance to at least be a good back up if not more.

The odds of Eli going out on a high note are going to continue to diminish the longer we keep trotting him out there.
We've won just 4 times in his last 20+ starts.
There's no reason why that is going to change. We can keep putting him out there week after week, the results are going to continue to be poor.
There's just no benefit now or long-term. I can't think of a single one.
Maybe learn the English language before wasting bandwidth on Jr. High-level insults.

I am not sure he classifies as a fan. The fact people rooting for him to fail is just something.

Also there is a big difference between when Eli came in during 2004 and now. Eli was the #1 pick, clearly the next Giants QB. Lauletta is lucky if he makes the team at all next year, since the Giants will likely draft Hebert. We only need 1 developmental QB on the roster.

Not to defend Eli, but the Giants were one 63 yard miss away from Eli's best game in awhile, against a Texan team that is now a winning team, and 30 plus point output with two 4th quarter TD'S for a comeback win. I know this team sucks, but who knows what happens if that kick misses, that was a brutal loss.
If Eli is going to have any success, you are 100% spot on. I wouldnt mind Gallman getting a lot of burn too.
