Pulley and Brown got beat once for a sack. And Browns holding penalty was unnecessary.
But all in all. That was their best effort all year, especially Solder who shut me up for a week. His best game of the year.
Run blocking needs to much better. But Eli had a lot of time tonight and was able to get a couple scores.
That has usually given us problem.
Seriously, have you not been watching all year? That's what has been beating us all season, it's not like we are consistently getting crushed by overload blitzes.
I sure didn't get the impression, but it is what it is.
I seem to recall that San Fran blitzed in the last couple of Giants drives to no effect.
Eh. It doesn't really matter. This season is a disaster.

but the 49ers were frequently only rushing four or five.

Don't remember the cowboys game? They blitzed every play and got to Eli in .000001 seconds
But yeah most teams have been ok just sending for and getting to Eli in .001 seconds

Of course it has. My point was that I'd like to see the other team have to blitz to get home. An OL should be able to block four or five. We did it tonight, but haven't been able to do most of the year.

And we have to keep in mind it was the Niners, not a team with a sensational rush..

The bye week definitely seemed to help. There was certainly a lot more continuity. Now the question is if its sustainable.

Looking ahead to TB, if our defense is unable to create turnovers, then it is on them. TB leads the league in -19 turnover differential.
