Giants 2019 Draft Position

Given the remaining season,here is my assessment.

Oakland will probably land the #1 pick. Giants, 49s, Cardinals, at 2 wins. There are a number of teams with three wins. Jets, Jaguars, Broncos, Browns, Bills, Lions, Bucs.

Giants remaining schedule: Bucs, Eagles, Bears, Redskins, Titans, Colts and Cowboys. I presume that the Giants win one more game out of these. Probably the Bucs. There is a possibility one of the other teams lay an egg. But most of them are still in the playoff hunt.

So at most I see 4 wins. Likely 2 or 3. Tampa is IMHO the only reasonable chance.

Cardinals play Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers, Packers, Lions, Falcons, Rams and Seahawks. Aside from Raiders the only other game may be the Lions. So I predict they are at 3 to 4 wins at most.

49s play Bucs, Seahawks twice, Broncos, Bears and Rams. Perhaps they beat the Bucs. That is 3 wins.

So, if two wins, Giants are a top five pick for sure. Worse case a #4. Only Oakland, 49s and Cardinals in the running.

If 3 wins, is that a top 5 draft pick? If the Giants beat the Bucs, then they would be behind the Raiders, 49s and Tampa for sure. Probably the Cardinals too. And perhaps the Jets.

Jets play Patriots twice, Titans, Bills, Texans and Packers. Only team I see as a chance is the Bills at Buffalo. I see the Jets remain at three wins.

Jaguars play Steelers, Bills, Colts, Titans, Redskins, Dolphins and Texans. I see one more win at Bills; possibly Dolphins. One to three more wins at most.

Broncos play Chargers twice, Steelers, Bengals, 49s, Browns and Raiders. I believe they win two more, the Browns, 49s and Raiders are most likely candidates.

Browns play Bengals twice, Texans, Panthers, Broncos and Ravens. I predict at least one more win with Mayfield; possibly two. In this regard, they are unpredictable right now. Take your pick.

Bills play Jaguars, Dolphins twice, Jets, Lions and Patriots. Maybe beat Jets, Lions or perhaps the Dolphins but not all three. A four win team most likely.

Lions play Panthers, Bears, Cardinals, Bills, Vikings and Packers. Maybe at Bills. Perhaps an upset at home against the Bears. 4 Wins? Hmmm.

It’s ironic that the Bucs beat Saints and Eagles early. They play Giants, 49s, Panthers, Saints, Ravens, Cowboys and Falcons. More wins? Possibly at Giants or 49s at home. I don’t see it. Three wins, fini.

SO I CONCLUDE THAT IF THE GIANTS HAVE 3 WINS THEY WILL LIKELY BE A #5 THROUGH #7 PICK.
