Since my music listening moods tend to change dramatically. I could be listening to Yes then switch over to the Outlaws.
But three favorites to headphone to:
Genesis - Seconds Out
Peter Gabriel - Secret World Live
Yes - Fragile
Yes is my favorite rock band by a wide margin.
Mine too, some of my favorite Yes concerts were at the State Theater in New Brunswick in the late 90's. In one concert they performed Awaken which they rarely did. Also saw Union which was a great concert and ABWH with Tony Levin on the bass. Some great Yes shows.

I always thought that Live "Seconds Out" album didn't get the attention it deserved. IMO Genesis were at their peak and it still sounds relevant today. Great live album.

Don't quite remember but you may be right, I think ABWH was the same way. They always gave you plenty of the 70's stuff with some 80's mixed in.

I was wondering if you were aware that they reissued The Beatles White Album?
The Beatles (White Album ) is the greatest album from the greatest group in history of recorded music
the new reissue is stunning and amazing
an incredible revelatory remastering of the double LP
official release of legendary Esher Demos
and best alternate and early takes that have never slipped out into bootleg world
so many highlights that it impossible to list here but my early favorites
incredible early takes of "I'm So Tired"
a take of "Let it Be" that sounds like Ray Charles
a take of "Good Night " that is in finger picking style of "Julia" with all The Beatles singing background harmony
seriously this is a wet dream for any Beatles fans -

I agree the White Album is their best. Half the album is very good, half the album is trash.
Rush - A Farewell to Kings
Geddy Lee - My Favourite Headache
Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
I've seen fans on the Rush forums give a lot of love to MFH. I haven't listened to it in a decade, the only song I really liked off it was the title track
Geddy Lee is doing a signing in Ridgewood sometime soon for his new Bass book BTW

Yup. I saw ABWH and big generator before that. The late 90s shows were fantastic too. Igor Khoroshev was great. It's a shame what happened with him.
I also really liked the two ARW shows I saw. I am not a fan of the current lineup with Steve Howe. I don't like the singer.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers-American Treasure (HIGHLY recommend this one for anyone who is a fan-all alternate takes, live versions, unreleased stuff, etc...)
I STILL think A Ghost is Born is their best album. Cover to cover brilliant.. minus 23 seconds or so.
I go back and forth between that, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and Summerteeth. Ghost is at the top of the list at the moment. Looking forward to reading Tweedy’s book.

I saw Steve Hackett a few years ago at the Scottish Rite theater in South Jersey. He did Genesis Revisited tour...What a great show, they were just spot on.
And the theater was awesome, not a bad seat in the house, great sound, comfy seats and free parking to boot. They even served wine. Just a perfect musical evening.

I saw the tour they made Seconds Out from. What an incredible show and it's one of my all time favorite albums as well.
The only thing a little disappointing about it for me is they mixed Steve Hackett down so much. Word was it was because he was leaving the band, and as great as the album is, if Steve was mixed higher it would be even better IMO.
I was fortunate to see several of Steve's solo tours including Genesis Revisited a couple of times and man that brought back some great memories. His solo on Firth Of Fifth might be my favorite guitar solo of all time and he still nails it every time.
Even better is their concert video. Giant on the Box, or the Sight On Sounds concert videos are amazing to watch. I've been listening to them since the mid-70's, and they still amaze me.

I don't have sight on sounds. Never heard of that one. Do you have Scraping the Barrel? That's also very cool. All of their stuff is phenomenal. . Grateful Dead - July 1978 - Complete Recordings
[five full shows... the band sounds great here, but it is a bit disconcerting to hear Donna's vocal stylings applied to some of the earlier material ("Jack Straw", "Candyman" etc...)]
Tom Petty + Heartbreakers - Fillmore West - 2/7/98
[Highly recommended boot - try to find the pre-fm version if you can...]
Crosby Stills Nash + Young - 1974 Live
[They had enough material to do a 4th disc... looking at the type of fan base they have, they probably should have done a two-disc "hits" version for the general public, and a 4 or 5 disc deluxe version for the hardcore types. Anyway, if you like this stuff, do try to hear Neil's "Star of Bethlehem" from this tour.]
