For the second week in a row. Say what you want, but when you commit to the run and let Barkley lead the offense, Eli still looks like a QB you can win with. Haters you can hate elsewhere this week. 17/18 231 yards and 2 TDs
concerned this thing ends up 5-11 for nyg and they end up in no mans land in draft.
Eli is not shutting up critics until he does more of this - the first half of the season counts too-and the problem is the critics are right that they have to move on except if NY makes playoffs (8-8 may win east this year).
but yes nice to see the wins and the good game from him.

He actually had a decent 1st half considering no protection and no running game...but don't worry I won't let a false narrative get in the way of a good story Hassan!!!
About his game on the broadcast. He missed one throw all day yet he wasn't talked about near enough IMO.
It seemed every read was spot on, throws were on the money and checks were pretty much all you could want. No doubt the running game helped but he did hit that long one early to OBJ to set the tone and keep Tampa's D honest IMO.
But at least the offense is taking on the look of one we can depend on week to week. I’d like to see more though. If you added up this entire season and judged everyone on the big picture you’d still be disappointed with EVERYTHING. The offense has a chance to give everyone reason to believe heading into the offeseason but there’s a lot of football to be played and two good weeks isn’t enough. Encouraging signs but Talk to me in January.
Yes, because they finally were facing a defense they could run on.
Don’t piss in the corn flakes just to be that guy. They “could” have run the ball on a lot of teams this season but couldn’t. How’d they look against the stupid skins? Or falcons?
They are playing better. Much better. It’s ok to admit that.
like Eli just won his 3rd Super Bowl. Eli is done. He just destroyed the Bucs. I'm happy about it. But 2 or 3 good games doesn't make a season. But hey...maybe we run the table and I'm wrong. I hope so.
I think the point is that if you give him some protection.... Â
That's always been the case. He wasn't winning earlier this year because we couldn't block for him and Saquon was getting tackled 5 years in the backfield every play.
Jamon Brown seems to have been a legit addition. The line has looked completely different since he was inserted in the lineup.
a positive impact. If nothing else Eli isn't just checking down in the last couple of games, which says a lot.
But, the same people who are saying this is the second coming of Eli are a lot of the same people who forget how good the 49ers 3rd stringer looked against a pathetic Raiders D. We just played the worst defense in the NFL. Next week is the test.
is what good offenses do. Not saying we're good yet, but I'm not sure what an "actual" good offense would have done to Tampa instead.
Don’t change the fact all those saying Eli was the problem were full of shit
Eli was never the problem.....he just isn't the solution. Guys like Doug Williams and Eli Manning can be super bowl mvps with a good running game and good protection. Guys line Aaron Rogers can win super bowl mvps with Robert Newhouse at left tackle.
if Eli lights it up and plays awesome the last several weeks and the team makes it to 6-10 or 7-9 i would be ok with what seemed implausible and let eli play next year potentially. make 2020 the year for qb if nothing looks good in this years draft.
that would be premised on idea o is clicking and keeping team together means we see the offense we expected this year coming to fruition.
Dep, I am certainly not going to say anything bad about him after today, but I think the consensus around those that want to move on from him is that he is not capable of being consistently this good to get the Giants to a position where they can be contenders. He is also really old in football years.
The more games he has like this against the likes of TB and SF, the more Mara is going to think we just need a couple tweaks around him. I only watched pieces of the game, but from what I saw he was very good today. I still don't think he is the solution moving forward.

Uh, Eli won super bowl MVP with the corpse of David Diehl at left tackle and the worst running game in the league.
What's more likely, the difference was Jamon Brown or playing the 9ers and the Bucs?
If you cannot see the difference Brown is making, then you don't want to see it.
Yes two crappy teams, but he is still opening holes and keeping the pocket from collapsing.
RUN THE TABLE!!!

He can still play folks. Get over it.

Winning is awesome, but man if you think this indicates something meaningful that's a lot of faith.
I’m happy he played a very good game. Let’s see it continue and maybe we have something.
Who'd have thought?
It's the opposite though. This thread = result of reverse
Solder still had a couple totally unbelievable misses but the line held strong today for Eli.
I don’t believe in Eli as our QB next season but I’m happy to see him do well today. Let’s take each game as it comes and take a win when we get one.

3 win tampa settles it.

Actually their top 4 players in secondary are now out. Starting street free agents. Eli has a shot to go on a run here

Tiny improvements make a huge difference.
Posts like this are exactly the reason I have been so critical. Hope you are thrilled that we are a whopping 3-7.
