to see if he can be both the KR and PR. I like Henderson too but Coleman is an excellent KR and having him as a return specialist would be very nice if he's able to do punts. save a roster spot with Henderson in the future
Coleman is not a punt returner. He is better when he has a few yards
to get rolling and find a seam. Henderson is fine. The most important skill for a PR is to catch the ball and then see if he can get about 10+ yards. He has been doing that most of the time.
Coleman appears to be a bit shaky catching the ball.
Evan Brown at center soon. Pulley is struggling and he will be no more than a backup next year if he even makes the roster. Evan Brown will have the luxury of playing in the middle of two solid young guards. Evan Brown was my favorite UDFA signing and he received a lot of praise during OTA's. The Giants clearly like him as he has been on the 53 man roster all season while other bigger name players were let go. Let's see what they have in this kid and hopefully they found another Seubert or O'Hara type.
Engram finally make a play. But I was a little surprised that the coverage LB pretty much stayed just a step behind him all the way down the field. I thought he would run away from the guy
with you that the Giants could use more options on offense.
but Eli threw 18 passes today and Beckham was 4 for 4 on his targets. Just 4 targets. Giants had one of their highest offensive outputs in over 2 years and it only required 4 targets to Beckham.
Today is not the best example to say they need to help Beckham, unless you're more worried about his stats than the offense. If they can be this effective in the run every week the play action in and of itself will be enough help for Beckham.

There's a huge difference between what it takes to be a good Punt Returner vs. what it takes to be a good Kick Returner. Fielding kickoffs is much easier as they come in at a lower angle of trajectory and they are usually uncontested. Fielding punts is very difficult. The ball comes almost straight down at you and there's usually one or more defenders barreling down on you full speed. You have to decide first of all whether or not you are going to have to call a fair catch. If not, you have to field the ball cleanly and make the first man miss.
It's rare that you find a player good enough to do both jobs because a PR guy has to be very quick while a KR guy needs flat out straight line speed. This is why Henderson and Coleman are ideal for their respective jobs at the moment. I was very impressed with Henderson's ability to catch & onto the ball. Guys like Reuben Randle have held the PR duties before just for the fact that being a sure handed person is the number one requirement. Henderson gets more yards than Randle did though. Coleman is doing very well at KR too. He can fly.
on the field with Ellison? He might be a dead giveaway on play calling schemes like a scat back out there on 3rd and long

Evan Engram was outsnapped by Scott Simonson, 18-17. He played just 32% of snaps with Giants not using him on run downs/situations. But he took the new role in stride and made perhaps biggest play of the game with 54-yard catch + run late in game.
