GBN Big Board Updated & Expanded...

...check it out. There are a lot of defensive players (including DT) at the very top end of their list. And a good thing, too, given the state of our defense!

are we picking in the draft now?

Just draft players from either Clemson or Alabama.
Spider56 : 11/19/2018 7:10 am : link
They’ll come in pro ready and they know how to win. ... Saban and his minion know how to develop players and get them ready to play on Sunday
Any of the first 3 would be fine

Rashaun Gary
Jim in Forest Hills : 11/19/2018 8:14 am : link
would be great at #5. Tremendous pass rusher, big and fast.
Gary doesn't look like a 3-4 OLB tho

Is Greedy better than deandre baker?
Ned In Atlanta : 11/19/2018 8:18 am : link
I watch a lot of Georgia games and teams just don't throw at Baker. Depending on where we pick I wouldn't hate that pick. Lord knows we need corners
Still want Herbert

if he falls.

You dont think he's athletic enough?

I dont think he'd have any issues playing OLB.
Need to pay attention to scheme/fit
JonC : 11/19/2018 8:24 am : link
Alabama players tend to reach the NFL with a high floor, low ceiling.

Clemson DL have not done much in the NFL, especially their edge players. I was told Shaq Lawson would be this, that, and the other thing in the NFL, and he's been none of it, for example.

Giants running a 3-4 means they're not likely going DT high unless it's a NT, and even then it would have to be a dominant one to end up with value matching a top 5 pick. Not seeing that player in this crop.

From what I've seen so far, no.
Agree with Jon here in theory

KISS - Stick with the Williams.

Greedy or Jonah.
Doubt DG picks a CB top 5
JonC : 11/19/2018 8:27 am : link
he undervalues CB position.

No. He is not an OLB. Not even close. I think he can excel in our 3-4 as LDE, but he is not an edge rusher. I dont see the value. And I am a huge Michigan fan.
only two...
MarvelousMike : 11/19/2018 8:37 am : link
offensive players in top 15.

Can we get a few of them?? <chuckles>

Certainly would address a need with the assumption that Jenkins is released/traded in the off-season. But if DG doesn't value Greedy, it would be fine with me as I really want Jonah.
Josh Allen would be the ideal 3-4 rush linebacker they need
jeff57 : 11/19/2018 8:46 am : link
Sweat is good also. Depends where they end up picking.
I’ve read the Alabama OT has short arms and might be a OG
The_Boss : 11/19/2018 9:20 am : link
I’m passing on him at 5. We need secondary help badly, especially at FS. I might take a chance on Thompson.
I'll take...
M.S. : 11/19/2018 9:46 am : link

...Jonah Williams OT out of Alabama in Round One.

And Tyler Biadasz OC out of Wisonsin in Round Two.

Should be interesting. The Raiders are the only team currently in front of the Giants that might be looking QB. But there are 2 teams right behind the Giants that may want a QB (Tampa & Jacksonville) and could possibly leapfrog the Giants for Herbert.
The perfect scenario
gmenrule : 11/19/2018 10:14 am : link
is having Eli or Lauletta be the QB for next year. Build the OL, DL, LB, CB positions (thru draft and free agency). Use the 2020 draft for one of the top QBs (Tua, Fromm, etc).
Albert Breer's top 20

herbert could fall a little and it would be nice to have him. if the giants lose this week they should absolutely go back into tank mode.

If they lose ill be rooting for raider wins with carr playing well(maybe they hang onto him) and we get a shot at herbert in round one an throckmorton round 2
