2-10 in non-Thanksgiving games. It's too damn predictable. Thanksgiving as a once a year thing is one thing but do we need to impact the league this much by having TNF every single week?
And everyone will come away from this saying "the Cowboys are for real"... no, they're not, they just played at home on a fucking Thursday. That's all. If this game was on a Sunday Brees would have thrown 5 TD passes.
(Of course, 1 of those 3 wins by the away team was the Eagles blowing out the Giants. Ugh.)
At least Cowboys fans will get their hopes up only to be completely torn down eventually, and Dak might get a giant contract, so that's all well and good.
I'm just amazed at how much an impact the refs had in this game Â
Dallas isn't good enough to go on the road and beat NO or the Rams. But they'll buy into the press coverage.
Twice the pride, double the fall.
Exactly. Put this game in the Superdome and give Brees 7 days to prepare (+ a bye) and the Saints will blow this team out if they face off in the playoffs. Can't wait to see the camera on Jerrah's face in a luxury box in NO with the score showing 45-10 in the 3rd quarter come January.
Cowboys are playing well right now. Saints with 10 straight were sloppy. Hope it gets them focused for January when Dallas comes to them. Tough matchup for them but I do think they handle Dallas in their own dome.
I'm very upset how this officiating crew decided tonight's game though
Well I guess I'm in the minority here but Dallas is for real.
You cant help where game is scheduled....they just beat a one loss team and held Brees to nothing...he is arguably the best in the game and he got dumped on
I said it a couple weeks ago. Dallas is going to be a tough out. They are hot. They play great defense. They are fast. They are hungry....they are peaking at righttime. I'm looking for houses outside of US as we speak....their fans will be fucking unbearable if they win it all

Will the Saints be able to protect their passer better because they are at home? Crowd noise in Dallas was not the reason Brees suddenly didn't resemble the same passer he has all season.
The game is won in the trenches. Saints didn't want any part of a dirty match where they got some resistance as we saw. It was almost as if they had no real plan once they started getting short circuited.
Jerrah will likely keep Garrett and Dak, and the Cowboys, if they make the playoffs will be lucky to win a game.
It will be a pain in the ass to listen to the Media or even those posters who will continue to tell us Dallas is for real, but I'll take then going 10-6 or 9-7 with the braintrust thinking they have the pieces to win it all.

I guess both teams had 7 days, yes. But still, these Thursday games either way have a tendency to throw off the away team's mojo. I get it: improvise, adapt, overcome. But you can't discount the fact that teams have a very specific routine they go through every week to prepare for Sunday. The Saints are especially reliant on their impeccable routine of preparation. Disrupt that a little bit (in what is known as "a game of inches") and you just never know what you're going to get.
but after one of the many blown calls towards the end of the game, they showed all of the refs one after the other. The thing I came away with is all of these guys are old. I know that also means they have the most experience and that can be a good thing about having older refs, but it is obviously NOT helping the NFL product. I'd try to get a balance of some new blood with some fresh eyes and guys who can maybe move around alittle quicker out there, as well. The old man crew isn't getting the job done, as we saw tonight.
I thought the Cowboys would win, but I thought they would play better Â
offensively. They were really lucky to win this game between the missed calls and poor games by Drew Brees and Sean Payton. I thought the Cowboys defense matched up well with the Saints going into the game and wasn't that surprised by how that turned out. The Cowboys offense scoring so few points was embarrassing. Imagine how little they would've scored without ol' #25 to fuck up in every way?
Going for it on 4th down instead of getting on the board was a horrendous decision by Payton. The missed call on the Jaylon Smith hit was ridiculous.

Exactly.
On top of that. Who Fucking cares?
Cuse is 9-3 and their basketball team just ass fucked Ohio State in Columbus despite the refs giving the Buckeyes 34! free throws against a zone defense.
Point is. Officiating is horrific everywhere. And the NFL is trash.

Really?
I think you're a little scarred from the Eagles winning it all last year. Yeah, the Cowboys are on a little streak right now, but the playoffs are over a month away. Eagles were #1 seed and a great team last year. The Cowboys are not great. Cowboys will likely have to go through the Vikings (at home), and the Saints and Rams on the road. They played one good game tonight and the media is going to ride the Cowboy hype train because it brings ratings and money, but I'm not sure if you've watched the NFL/Cowboys football for the last 2 decades? I've seen this episode before. Hold off on that house search for now.

Haha
I know but this feels different. This fucking team is fast! They have two young stud LBers and even without a serious receiving threat at TE or WR they still find ways. They just seem like they have some swag this year. Alot like the 07 Giants in that regard. Their pass rush looked solid and they just make plays. The defense is so opportunistic. Geez it makes me sick to think it can happen. Hope I'm overreacting but this fucking team just seems to be rolling and catching breaks
The don't have the QB. The Eagles are the only threat in the division to somehow get their shit together and win a Superbowl. I think it is doubtful for them this year. They always have a horseshoe up their ass though.

Then this may be the best thing for New Orleans. No pressure anymore to keep the winning streak going. Instead they can start thinking about the playoffs and getting ready.

They do have pressure in the sense that it is very important that they secure the #1 seed and get homefield advantage. They are an entirely different team and almost impossible to beat in the Superdome. I know they're #2 right now, but if they can manage to win their last 4, I'd say there's a very good chance the Rams drop 1 of their last 5. Probably not dropping 2, so the Saints pretty much have to win out to get that 1 seed.
i'm the only guy in multiple pickems who picked Dallas.
primetime game/home/thursday night.. it was a given that Dallas was the actual favorite. Now, the Giants will beat Chicago without their QB and the world will be in the dark for another week except for the Rams looking better
Meh, good luck beating NO at their place in January ... not going to happen

Well... rams are now first. They were huge boys fans tonight.

What's Eli's excuse?

It's a joke. And a veiled shot at some posters here.
Lol... great job NFL. Shittier product by the day.
Tell me again how officiating doesn't impact a game....
Then Shepard is clearly held.
No calls.
Fast forward to tonight and they call THAT pass interference.
This league is a JOKE.

Of course Brees plays his worst game of year tonight

Yes but Rams - saints is neutral to me. I'm anti NFC east ... as I've sadly been prettty much since 2011 now
Tell me again how officiating doesn't impact a game....
What a great season.
Fucking thrilled.
Let's keep doing what we're doing, though. Seems to be working..
I hate the Eagles much more

This league isn't worth the time anymore. Glad the Giants pulled off a couple more championships before it all went south.
The NFL is perfectly fine being mediocre shit, so they can enjoy losing long-time fans with each passing year.
And the Cowboys are going nowhere.
Twice the pride, double the fall.

a third one by a DB Brown
Dak most overated QB in football
Can't wait to watch them flame out in the playoffs
