you have to root for a win. However, the team is better off losing.
For those of you who want the coach and the GM fired, there is no way that happens if this team puts up a couple of wins to close the year. For those of you Eli haters out there... same thing.
Might be tough sledding for Barkley ..

and his play calling. Why throw with Chase Daniels from your own 5, when you can likely pound with Howard at our porous run D? He does this every week.

was watching Wheeler. I thought he looked pretty good on that drive. I agree we need a center. Pulley gets walked back to the QB like Richburg. But at least he's a lot cheaper.
on that 3rd down play have enough feel to slide back in the pocket or move up. Eli for as great as he’s been has always had major trouble with pocket presence. To be fair though I’ve seen Brady and Roethlisberger showing similar issues this season in a few games.
RE: RE: RE: And the offensive line is there to kill the momentum. Â
Eli had plenty of time... If nobody is open (My guess is that there was, but not who Eli was locked into) throw it away.
Your definition of plenty of time is weird. Floyd was in there immediately.
Bullshit. Eli had plenty of time to get rid of that. It’s ok for you to criticize Eli, ya know. He freaking had his eyes closed. That play is not the time to run to his defense
He’s been horrendous since he’s played this year. Not a good OLB. Maybe he’d be better off at 4-3 end again?! In fact the 3-4 Defense Bettcher brought here is not getting it done at all.
but I think that INT was on OBJ, Fuller jumped the route, that happens, but OBJ stood there with absolutely no awareness. You want to argue that Eli shouldn’t have thrown, maybe so, but it was a timing route and Beckham has to be aware of the DB jumping it
I love Banks and he is often right but he is incorrect here. The CB was not even looking at OBJ. He was looking at Eli the entire time. You can see the CB breaking before OBJ.
Manning should have ate it but Odell didn’t do him any favors
That's how I saw it too. Looked like a walk through type route by OBJ. Not good on ELI's part either but they both could've been much better there IMO.
Head coach in the game, a fucking moron who refuses to establish the run when that is all we could hope for since we are far from a dynamic team, plus you have moron Eli, who still makes rookie mistakes. Once again, the stupidest organization in the league is proving themselves true.
Because the defender had the ball and he needed to tackle him?
Umm..that's completely wrong. He stopped prior to the INT
So let's play this out -- OBJ runs harder through the route, which sure he should, was the ball put anywhere in the neighborhood of where he could catch it?
My comment does not necessarily mean today. However, there seems to be plenty of time to throw today but I am not in a hurry. Stupid coming from you means nothing.
This is the best defense in the league. Stupid idea... Eli gives this team the best shot to win
Edwards made a dumb play, be he's been really solid for us this year. A tweener, but an excellent rotational player I'd like to resign in the offseason.

Umm..that's completely wrong. He stopped prior to the INT
So let's play this out -- OBJ runs harder through the route, which sure he should, was the ball put anywhere in the neighborhood of where he could catch it?
It's a timing route. If Odell's running hard, his body is there prior to Fuller being able to jump it, and it's either a catch or DPI. At worst, it's an incomplete pass.
OBJ did kinda let up on the play, but only because it was clear that DB had the right coverage and position on the route. The play never had a chance, Eli should not have thrown that ball.

What don't you get? He ran the route at half speed and then stopped. If he ran that like it was supposed to be he would not have gotten undercut.
Eli is on his way out and making these mistakes, there is no Â
upside in suffering through these bad games and years. I really don’t get why Ben and Rivers are still at a high level and Eli looks so washed up. To those who want to replace everyone else around Eli, how many years will that take and how old will Eli be then? What an exercise in futility!!

Impossible to defend this cleaver HC/OC's plans on your defense, right? Shurmur makes every DC look brilliant. It really does not matter who is playing on the Giants' offense.

Pass should’ve never been thrown.
So both Odell and manning should share the blame

Yes if he ran the route properly. It's a timing route.
we are playing one of the best defenses in the game....are you shocked we arent putting on an offensively clinic? this team struggled off and on all year and now you expect breakout?
the bears are one of the best teams in the game. just relax and watch. its not shurmurs fault either, stupid to keep blaming playcalling right now.

Now remember Shurmur, like McAdoo before him was brought in for his offensive genius.
Bears are getting pressure with just four DL. They aren't blitzing. So Eli is throwing against six and seven defenders, although his throws have been poor. That means a lot of three and outs unless we adjust.

There isn’t anyone in the receiving corps that scares anyone. Hence forcing it to Beckham
It has nothing to do with scaring anyone. It has everything to do with getting open. When the defense can get pressure without blitzing, it allows more defenders to cover in the secondary.

True, thank you.
Would it really matter how good the Bears defense has performed this year? The Giants' offense has stunk all year. They are, after all, 3-8.

that was about as embarrassing as it gets on Webb Â

This. Beckham is really the only receiver we have. Shepard is just a guy and the other receivers are practice squad level.
He's not calling a great one but I'm more questioning his prep leading into this one. Did he have a plan to do anything vs this D? So far it's not looking like it to me.
in this one. The Bears D is just flat out better than our offense. They’re stuffing everything so far.
Shurmur has some head scratching trends as a play caller, but the reality is our team just isn’t good. All the fancy play calling in the world won’t change that.

from the media last week, he would, ya know, come back this week with a better gameplan? Instead, he's continuing on from the 2nd half of the Philly game.

The OL has been decent. Shurmur just isn’t committed to the run and the route concepts aren’t getting anyone open.
Barkley is averaging 3.5 yards a carry not 1.5. He’s not getting stuffed.
The play calling is brutal. This offense is at its best when it’s running and using play action to keep the defense off balance. Give me 3rd and 3 all day.

Exactly. The Giants are just not talented. They need upgrades at QB, C, RG, RT, TE, and depth at WR.

I’ll give you that on that last drive...Bears were backing off playing coverage, zero excuse not to hand off to Barkley at least a couple times
He's not calling a great one but I'm more questioning his prep leading into this one. Did he have a plan to do anything vs this D? So far it's not looking like it to me.
The other team gets paid too.
No doubt and the Bears D is fantastic but does he have a plan, or an answer? Sure doesn't look like it to me.
unreal run by Barkley
The play calling is like Twilight zone Crazy
Not sure whats up with OBJ
but forcing him the ball and ignoring the run or getting
Barkley in space Keep Using Ellison ..in the middle
Barkley some screens ..We can win this
if Tribuski was playing it would be game over by halftime
maddening. Why is he not running Barkley down their throats. It's gonna be too late now that they're in the second half. Is he that obstinate. I keep waiting for the running game to start yet they keep throwing. They would have been better off running on all three downs. 5 punts?
What the heck?

If he doesn't start running it on the first drive it is too late. We get the ball, time to establish the run. If he comes out throwing, he's lost.
problem is that we can't move the ball, and the Bears are already owning both lines of scrimmage. We've also failed to maintain contain on several backside runs. It would be worse except that Daniels is awful.
As far as Eli is concerned, yes he's throwing against six or seven defenders, and he's under pressure. But he's been inaccurate, and his decisions have been poor. I don't think we'll see Lauletta, nor should we. Eli still gives us the best chance to win today, and the Bears defense is too good for this to be KL's first game.
Barkley should be featured. Inside runs, play action short passes, swing passes. No excuse for straight drop back on a wet day. Plays right into the Bears’ laps.
RE: Let's see...Shurmur made adjustments at halftime last week Â
How bad are the back up?. My money is on Lauletta coming in this half and hooks up with Coleman for a TD.
First play is Barkley, then try OBJ back to Barkley. If first down them slant to Ellison.

Agreed but I also think you can't call hat-on-hat straight ahead runs which to my untrained eye we tend toward. Yes SB cuts back on his own, but also we don't seem to call counters or misdirections to help set up the blocking and take advantage of a fast attacking D
Of course it's easy for me to say from here, that too vs the #1 D. It's obviously not just play call

But you've got to at least try to make them respect it.
That was gorgeous. saw the field and put two second (at least) of air on a 8 yd pass to to give Odell time to run all the way across the field.
Hey, Chase Daniel sucks, but the Bears D is whole and the team has moved it well the last three series (going back to Saquon's 3rd down run right before the half).
but they’ve mostly played hard every week. Considering who we’ve got playing CB besides Jenkins, LB, and FS its a miracle they keep these games competitive.
what we didn't need. How could Collins not at least knock the ball down. Cohen also wasn't down. Up to then, we'd given up 26 yards on the last six possessions.
The playcalling is embarrassingly bad and our quarterback doesn't let the clock run down and snaps it with 9 seconds left on two straight plays. It's really just incredible already.
shows you why you will never win with him. Has no concept of game management
100% on that last drive. Screw the fancy playcalling at that point, you’re already in FG range, you run the ball and burn time or make them use their time outs.
on offense, but being a HC is more than calling plays. It’s progress from the team and they play hard every week. People focus on his record. He won more in Cleveland than coached before and after him. I still have my doubts about him but the team seems better then at the start of the year. That’s progress.
RE: Barkley has been to hesitant at the LOS today Â
Past two weeks prior he was running with a purpose. Needs to get back to that again.
He’s trying to let blocks develop instead of just sticking his head up in there where the play is supposed to go. If our line could run block better, it’d be a good thing to do.
How would you have felt if we senselessly won games last year, and they cost us Barkley? Because all these wins are doing right now is costing us a shot at a blue chip player, or maybe a QB of our choice.

Some of those were only close because of garbage time scores by us
Yeah I'd say the Carolina and second Philly games were the two the Giants "should've" won. That would make them 5-6 and on the verge of getting to .500 today. Shoulda woulda coulda.

idc i would NEVER root for a fucking loss...you want to root for a loss go be a jets fan. we are still going to finish in the top 10 and winning does a lot for changing the culture of this team. i think everyone knows we have to move on from eli and continue to rebuild but winning does wonders for young players, it keeps them vested and gives them confidence in the coaching staff and front office...i want to watch wins

Yes. We should root for our team to always lose. Then we can have a team of loser, blue chippers.
Can't go low on the quarterback, doesn't have to be in the knee to get it called. That was a dirty hit imo. Especially when he was getting hit up high at the same time.

Such a tired argument.
It cuts both ways. Drafting lower could prevent the Giants from taking a guy who busts.
Reese’s first year he wanted Dwayne Jarrett in the 2nd round. Jarrett went earlier and Reese went with Steve Smith instead.
A few years later Reese talked about Hayward-Bey who went several picks before the Giants were on the clock. The Giants ended up with Hakeem Nicks.

That must've changed, because "low" used to mean below the knees. I wouldn't consider that a dirty hit, honestly.

RE: RE: RE: For All you people rooting for wins... Â
Yes. We should root for our team to always lose. Then we can have a team of loser, blue chippers.
Nah. Just lose when the team is obviously bad, so you can have more players like a Barkley.
It's really not more complicated than that.
That's cool. I mean... How does all that losing and high draft picks been for teams like Cleveland? Root for your team and let the chips fall how they mat. It's not really more complicated than that.
When I go on walks during a Warriors game and see that they're down late in the 4th, I'll be confident that they'll come back and win. Sure enough, they often do.
The Giants just gave me the opposite experience.
How are you up 10 points with less than 2 to go ... Â
this shows is that we shouldn't give Collins a huge contract. I agree that he doesn't have a good safety playing with him, but his coverage skills are lacking.

Continuing to put him in positions where he's not suited to success is bad coaching. It's like putting Eli Manning in an offense that asks him to take off and run.
Precisely. Bears are basically lining Cohen up to have a foot race with Collins on these deep plays. No way Collins, or most of everyone else in the league, will win in that situation one-on-one.
The football gods are giving the Giants every opportunity to blow this thing up, and yet some how who will be surprised when they do nothing and drag largely the same group on the field next year.
First time I've ever questioned his effort. I'm a big OBJ fan but something just seemed off with him from the get go today and outside of his TD pass, it pretty much played out all game.
The football gods are giving the Giants every opportunity to blow this thing up, and yet some how who will be surprised when they do nothing and drag largely the same group on the field next year.
Disagree on that - DG hasn’t been perfect, but one thing he’s shown is no hesitation to dump guys that aren’t cutting it. Reese and McAdoo would still have Flowers at RT all season long. Trouble is, depth is so thin that some guys just can’t be replaced yet (Vernon)
clock management? bro its thrid down...they want to make sure they get in right alignment and right call they know a convcersion means points. you have tow timeouts and there is plenty of time regardless...i dont mind the TO. need to be in right look and right call
he is old and this joke operation never built a team around him for half a decade, but after watching this game against this D is there any doubt Eli can still play.
What are the chances this D can win it?
RE: RE: RE: I don't understand any coach that would ever take Barkley off Â
Yes he did. His head has been in the sand lately but today he showed the Jackrabbit we know he can be.
Frankly I'm wondering if that whole murder thing in his home with his brother still affects his concentration at times. The guy makes serious plays when his head is in the game. There are other games when he seems to be not there at all. Not a whole lot of in between. That tells me there's more going on outside than we know.

I can't pull for anything but a win, after the loss I start licking my chops over the pick.
Embrace the L if it comes.
That's my philosophy. I can't root for the G-Men to lose.
Stuff that run!

Good one...
Have we had a good punt returner since Meggett?
Andy Reid disciple.
Have a lot of family in Carolina and Georgia with that name -- all pronounce it Naj or Nahj

Always something negative
Ogletree stinks, that was a horrible throw, it practically hit him in the face. Remember Daniel is a backup QB for a reason.
Nice return by he Cohen.
2 seconds?
There was ample time given to make reads and throw.
Yup refs already to change momentum
He had plenty of time on that play
Just Cut Quinn save the damn money
I think he felt the pressure and was holding it with two hands to avoid getting it stripped out.
those only get called against us

Nah he’s consistently bad the next good play he makes will be the exception
you can't even use a hidden "injury" as an excuse for that one
The Bears obviously want to run to minimize what Daniel has to do, especially after his shaky beginning.
I'd use Wynn, Hill, Edwards, and Tomlinson. Vernon isn't generating much pass rush pressure, and is being manhandled at the LOS.
what a drive talk about a dead ass team ....
More than once and yet White says nice block on him. Not sure what the hell he's looking at but Vernon took himself out of those plays.
No. I'd bench Vernon and Riley.
Forget Riley, bench Vernon. He's half-assing it out there.
yeah and somehow that is happening because Riley dropped an INT. too funny..

Yep, he needs to go. Lazy MF
He’s been horrendous since he’s played this year. Not a good OLB. Maybe he’d be better off at 4-3 end again?! In fact the 3-4 Defense Bettcher brought here is not getting it done at all.

OF COURSE. Love CB, but he will never criticize Eli.
You honestly think Beckham was running hard on that play?
Yeah. Ok.

Eli has been doing this long before Beckham wore Giants blue. Don't blame Beckham for not running over the DB.
This is the best defense in the league. Stupid idea... Eli gives this team the best shot to win

100% agreed
That’s total BS, it’s a bang-bang play where you don’t have time to look around, the CB recognized it and beat OBJ to the spot!

Because Odell didn't run hard, it was an INT.
They are running the ball down our throat. Just do that and make our O beat their D.

What don't you get? He ran the route at half speed and then stopped. If he ran that like it was supposed to be he would not have gotten undercut.
OBJ slipped
Beckham slipped first. Hence the no call
No he didn’t. Beckham slipped.

Pass should’ve never been thrown.
I was wrong, beckem slipped, and prince hit him when the ball was in the air
Not getting Barkley the ball in space
not Once !
Use the middle of the field
everything to the sidelines
That said Beckham and Eli look like crap. How about we stop the shotgun offense? Use the run heavy offense we’ve proven can work.
If it’s a blowout, I’d say yes, but it’s a tied game!

That is just crybaby nonsense.
And Shumer refuses to establish the run.
Now remember Shurmur, like McAdoo before him was brought in for his offensive genius.
It’s not his fault it’s evwryone else’s

The league? As if the league is deciding who wins here?
Where do you people come from? Do you really believe this?
Do you plan to have children? Will they be home schooled?
Not Beckham’s fault
OL *correction*
Yeah he hooked OBJ and that threw the timing off
Today? Where’s he been all year?
Two minute warning?
Shepard hurt.
We are killing our selves with this play calling.

True, thank you.
It has nothing to do with scaring anyone. It has everything to do with getting open. When the defense can get pressure without blitzing, it allows more defenders to cover in the secondary.

He's not calling a great one but I'm more questioning his prep leading into this one. Did he have a plan to do anything vs this D? So far it's not looking like it to me.
Exactly. Two Fucking morons in the booth today.
Shurmur has some head scratching trends as a play caller, but the reality is our team just isn’t good. All the fancy play calling in the world won’t change that.

On a slant route there's no "decision" made by the QB he takes a 3 step drop, plants his foot and throws to a spot...
The WR has to win that route and not lolly gag like OBJ did on that play...

The OL has been decent. Shurmur just isn’t committed to the run and the route concepts aren’t getting anyone open.
No one is open on these passes.
The play calling is brutal. This offense is at its best when it’s running and using play action to keep the defense off balance. Give me 3rd and 3 all day.

And it's nice to think we might have a big leg K moving fwd. Maybe a shot at payback for all these 55-60+ yd game Ws down the road
What the heck?
Nice
Maybe we can get OBJ some of what he's having
Oh, water
What the heck?
If he doesn't start running it on the first drive it is too late. We get the ball, time to establish the run. If he comes out throwing, he's lost.
Absolutely!!
Yup good point, these are tougher conditions than those kickers who kick in domes at home
The pass protection is one thing, but in the run game he's astonishingly bad as well.
Shurmur needs to figure this out during half-time. We'll see if he's any good at coaching or needs to be replaced.
Barkley is amazing as usual.
Shurmur is clueless.
and his name is Barkley.
For a guy who is going to go for two down 8, he should never send in the punt unit inside the opponent 40. Can't be selectively aggressive.
I really feel this is a big and telling test of Shurmur's coaching ability.
I think so
First play is Barkley, then try OBJ back to Barkley. If first down them slant to Ellison.
Quote:
maddening. Why is he not running Barkley down their throats. It's gonna be too late now that they're in the second half. Is he that obstinate. I keep waiting for the running game to start yet they keep throwing. They would have been better off running on all three downs. 5 punts?
What the heck?

Agreed but I also think you can't call hat-on-hat straight ahead runs which to my untrained eye we tend toward. Yes SB cuts back on his own, but also we don't seem to call counters or misdirections to help set up the blocking and take advantage of a fast attacking D
Of course it's easy for me to say from here, that too vs the #1 D. It's obviously not just play call

This is kind of what I was saying earlier, tho in a more general context. Goaline I think vs a top D it's even more applicable
But great TD in the end. Ugly stuff up to there but Eli to OBJ is always nice
i would have tossed to barkley down there or ran out of 11 personnel

there isn't too many players that will be able to keep up with Tarik Cohen streaking down the field.
It’s not about keeping up with Cohen.
It’s about his complete lack of ball skills on a shitty thrown ball.
I’ve seen little leaguers look better shagging fly balls.
Exactly, thank you
situations fire this worthless Quinn

Generally, I agree. But I don’t trust us not to give up a 20 yard screen pass
Bad time to lose him
He's in the medical tent...
Nice run by Gallman.

Looked like maybe shoulder or collar bone.
To be expected
Yeah, I didn't understand that cut
That's on Eli, he's done it for years
Yeah probably dodged a bullet on that one. Refs owe us a couple
receiver in area
that's not on eli, wheeler was a turnstile... he didn't slow down Mack one bit.
Absolutely
Fantastic downing of the punt.
Haha
Cmon D!
The one time we needed Eli to check to a draw, he doesn't. Special teams with a key play!
eli sucks but thats not on him. throw it away is a laughable notion. mack was on him in seconds
He was out getting checked by doctors.
Quote:
with the big catch!
Making Knowshon proud, lol
Haha. Not sure anyone outside the Shore will get that but kudos.
He was hurt, jackass
Fantastic downing of the punt.
That would’ve been the right call, but Shurmur keeps making these head scratching calls at most inopportune moments! Eli had no chance.
He was being checked out in the medical tent?
He was out getting checked for injury..
Do you see Brady or Brees accepting a pass on that play? Even Peyton
It’s not his play by play. He turns into an opinionated analyst way too often. Fox needs to reign that in.

Barkley out when we need to kill the clock. Wtf is going on!!

lol!
frustrating
Free Safety back up. Probably should be starting though
100% on that last drive. Screw the fancy playcalling at that point, you’re already in FG range, you run the ball and burn time or make them use their time outs.
Nice to see Saquon back in
You still run it three times and take the FG
Philly
Jags
Cowboys
Panthers
Falcons
Redskins.
All 7 points or less losses
Yes.
penalty stopped clock anyway
we've seen crazy ways to lose. You're not alone.

Some of those were only close because of garbage time scores by us
Oh yeah, the Giants are masters are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Some of that is on Eli. I mean he's played for 15 years or so right?
He’s trying to let blocks develop instead of just sticking his head up in there where the play is supposed to go. If our line could run block better, it’d be a good thing to do.
well he's a rookie and it didn't matter so there's that.

Wtf did you snap the ball with 15 seconds before 2 min warning?

stopped running and other team gets their offense going
The coach snaps the ball?
So congrats.
(as sung by Doug Judy)
So congrats.
Then why are you watching or following the thread?
So congrats.
Are you serious? Enjoy the win.

lol, fuck off with telling fans how to root. Most tired bullshit on BBI

Yeah I'd say the Carolina and second Philly games were the two the Giants "should've" won. That would make them 5-6 and on the verge of getting to .500 today. Shoulda woulda coulda.
So congrats.
idc i would NEVER root for a fucking loss...you want to root for a loss go be a jets fan. we are still going to finish in the top 10 and winning does a lot for changing the culture of this team. i think everyone knows we have to move on from eli and continue to rebuild but winning does wonders for young players, it keeps them vested and gives them confidence in the coaching staff and front office...i want to watch wins
Lippet got to do better than that .
So congrats.
Yes. We should root for our team to always lose. Then we can have a team of loser, blue chippers.
Lippet got to do better than that .
This team sucks in tackling
Fuck that roughing call as well.
Jesus/ . Just outlaw rushing the passer
Yes. We should root for our team to always lose. Then we can have a team of loser, blue chippers.
Nah. Just lose when the team is obviously bad, so you can have more players like a Barkley.
It's really not more complicated than that.
Can't go low on the quarterback, doesn't have to be in the knee to get it called. That was a dirty hit imo. Especially when he was getting hit up high at the same time.
. Cut this lippett guy
So congrats.

I wouldn't consider that a dirty hit, honestly.

illegal>? maybe but dirty...hell no. he doesnt know vernon is going to hit him high. he is running full speed, he cant like see and be like oh look vernon gonna hit him high i will slow down and lay the qb down. its full speed. dirty hell no

That's cool. I mean... How does all that losing and high draft picks been for teams like Cleveland? Root for your team and let the chips fall how they mat. It's not really more complicated than that.
Cause the Giants love to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
This
Go down and score, Bears
OBJ is terrible on specials ...
Were gonna blow this game
bad teams find a way to lose

Here it comes
think he played for the Patriots in 85. Really old so he can't tackle.
Hilarious and true. Sigh.
Yup, short armed that Onsides kick
Do you want to blame Collins for that? Really? One of the fastest players in the league. Our DC should be matching a corner against him
COME ON!
exactly
Not sure your viewpoint matters much since you don't even know his fucking name.
I can't take the stress. Wow.
Only the Giants. Unbelievable
But he wants elite money.
I can't take the stress. Wow.

lmao
The Giants just gave me the opposite experience.
But he wants elite money.
This is a scheme problem and not a Collins issue
and Neither does this coach ..
How is this Bettcher's fault? Do you see the names we run out there on defense?
This was on Bettvher and Beckham.
Loser. Second to Hue jackson

All he does is chalk up losing records!

Good point. Especially on his 50 yard TD pass
To be fair, is there any reason to think they've been prepared for that?

No blitzing.
Trashed by Cohen. They had no answer for him in coverage, none! This Defense is so frustratingly bad!
I mean I’ll watch it but it’s not like they will win.
Quote:
Not running the clock down when we had the ball late in the game. Not his fault for this collapse but that was really stupid!

He also snapped it early when the clock was live
If you find a way to lose games like this - you really do need the draft pick.
What???
This
Continuing to put him in positions where he's not suited to success is bad coaching. It's like putting Eli Manning in an offense that asks him to take off and run.
WTF.
That was not his fault. A safety shouldn't be covering one of the fastest guys in the NFL!

Well, when we blow a 10 point lead with 1:57 left, gotta find some why to blame the quarterback.
Quote:
Burned all day on that wheel route.

Precisely. Bears are basically lining Cohen up to have a foot race with Collins on these deep plays. No way Collins, or most of everyone else in the league, will win in that situation one-on-one.
It's funny because I keep forgetting he's a safety and not a LB.
If you find a way to lose games like this - you really do need the draft pick.
You need a lot more than the draft pick. There are deeper problems revealed by a game like this.
Eli snaps the ball with over 10 seconds left on the clock
Betcher won't cover the sidelines and force the ball inside
Quote:
half-assed all day today
Yup, short armed that Onsides kick
First time I've ever questioned his effort. I'm a big OBJ fan but something just seemed off with him from the get go today and outside of his TD pass, it pretty much played out all game.
1:20 left - 10 point lead. Absolutely disgraceful

An elite safety can do it. He's not elite.

Not the first time we’ve gotten screwed like that this year.
Let's GO!
He needs a breather once in a while
C'mon defense. Force a turnover. Make it happen!
Quote:
the field.

Yeah, he was out of breath on that play he slipped up. He needed a breather.
Shurmur pulls Barkley when he shouldn't and doesn't pull him when he should.
clock management? bro its thrid down...they want to make sure they get in right alignment and right call they know a convcersion means points. you have tow timeouts and there is plenty of time regardless...i dont mind the TO. need to be in right look and right call
1:20 left - 10 point lead. Absolutely disgraceful
Nothing to think about. Let him walk
What are the chances this D can win it?

I'm sure we'll see that play at least one more time on this drive.
We only get those kinds of calls when a former Giants DB commits those penalties.

Some awfulness down the stretch, but some good stuff in there as well.
I'm not sure Mara has any clue what he's doing either. But hopefully they'll be smart enough to fire Shurmur's worthless ass on December 31st.
Some awfulness down the stretch, but some good stuff in there as well.
Talk about stress
Good point
And, an OV sighting on one of those fumbles. Awfully lovely of him to join us.....finally....maybe he will make another play ...in a few years.
I was expecting it :)
Didn’t realize that, that is some terrible defense, oh well!
1:20 left - 10 point lead. Absolutely disgraceful
Nothing to think about. Let him walk
Easily!
OBJ pussied out, just like Cam in the SB!
Hope so...I have them with over 7 wins...lol
I’m still trying to figure out why Nagy called a TO. Ended up costing them the game.
