They did, and it was not reviewable as a result. But I think the call was wrong -- collins hit cohen before the ball got there and then Cohen was never touched after gaining possession of the ball.

By that description, then it's pass interference........
I think Collins did just barely touch him on the way down. At least it looks like that. You can barely tell even in slo mo. Completely inadvertently and had no effect on Cohen falling but I think it counts as downing him. Completely lucky.
And Collins touched him but Cohen didn’t have possession yet. So I think that’s a blown call
It is either PI or down by contact. It isn't a TD.
Robbie, if it's PI, then shouldn't it have been a TD?
PI means the contact was before the catch. If the ball was caught despite the PI, and there was no contact after the catch, and he therefore was not downed, why wouldn't that be a TD (ignoring for the moment the whistle blowing the play dead)?
(but for the whistle that blew the play dead) since the contact was before the catch, not after.
Imo, Cohen going to the ground and Collins contacting him Â
scored a TD. That is about as good an effort this Defense can play. Would have been nice if they had buttoned up with 2 min to go but they are flawed in many spots so you will see the bad a lot too.
The betcher thing slot, we don't really have safeties nor lbs, I guess they couldn't move Collins to lb due to having no safeties. Possibly our best two safeties suddenly play for other teams.
All that having been said, they've done fairly darn good with what they have, and the draft path is clear.
Crap ass load of high value lbs, of different types, high value safeties of different types, another dt for shits and kicks, a center and a giant tight end, maybe a corner, and Bob's your uncle.
If not the experience or nfl training in pass D to use it always.
Ogletree has the savvy, but not the speed. Honestly, playing Collins at lb, you still might need to draft that pass D lb, and you also want to address the DE/LB pass rush + run D piece.
I could easily see round 1 on a LB and round #2 on a free safety. Or visa versa.
So it's down by contact. Whether Collins meant to or not.
Cohen was not touched when he went down
He was not touched until he started running
The dbs were not in a position to stop Cohen
Good thing that the whistle was blown
Collin and he collided somewhat when Cohen made the adjustment to make the catch - and bumped into Collins while making the catch.
So it's down by contact.
Collins didn't touch him, or tackle him really...but the collision forced Cohen down.
I honestly am not sure of the rule in that case, and would be interested to know.
Collins also did not contribute to Cohen going to the ground and he did not touch him with any part of his body
I am watching this right now and I cannot see any contact

the refs must have blown it dead

Riley should be nowhere near a NFL field.
It is either PI or down by contact. It isn't a TD.
Are you defending Riley??? You know he's the worst FS in Football...
