He could very well be on our shortlist come April. Given our needs and where we're expected to pick (6-14), you'll hear his name a lot in the coming months. I know, I know, he's a Nole, but I'm not holding that against him.
10 sacks this year, all against Power-Five competition (including two against Miami, but whatever, we still won) and an NCAA-leading 68 quarterback pressures. First-Team All-ACC. Oh, and he was a team captain (a head Nole? Ewww).
Most alluring of all: the kid will have just turned 21 come draft day. He needs to put on some LBs and get stronger, but there's enormous potential here.
They need safe picks that will produce. Risks like Burns is what got Reese in trouble and led to his firing.

Thanks for the insight. Good stuff.

We don't have a third round pick ;)

Yet...
I think we're all still shell shocked from last year and early this year, but the OL is starting to come together. It still needs work, but the situation isn't desperate, especially with Halapio due back healthy next year. The Giants will surely add a veteran or two in free agency (depending on whether or not they resign Brown) and a couple of draft picks, but the draft picks don't have to be days one and two or either of those days for that matter, and the free agent or two don't have to be of the 10M+/year variety or even the 5M+/year variety.
Agreed, If the Giants end up picking in the 7-10 range then Allen would be a great choice there. If Jonah Williams is still on the board it will be a tough decision between the two IMO.
A player with bend like his off the edge is super rare. I’d be fine with this pick if we stay in the 7-10 range.
the Edge rusher is a better prospect
