Anyone here ever been kicked out of MetLife stadium

upstatenyg : 12/3/2018 4:48 pm
Hypothetical of course, but has anyone been kicked out before? I was at the game yesterday and a buddy of mine threw up in stairway and was brought down to some holding area and removed.

The form he was given says he is banned for life, which seems excessive and crazy but also unenforceable.

I am not certain, but I also like don't believe they attempt in any way to hold a psl holder responsible in any way for this (they note your seat and row number), and there is some vague language about psl holders referring to their agreement.
I kicked myself out permanently

got banned for life because he threw up? He wasn't being belligerent or anything? Seems quite excessive.

Last year at the Eagle game
Matt in SGS : 12/3/2018 5:08 pm : link
there was a group of Eagle fans who sat about 10 seats away from me. It was a mom and dad (in their 50s) and their son (in his 20s). Mom was hammered and yelling. She got quiet, fell asleep on the dad, and then woke up and threw up all over the floor in front of her seat and pushed the puke down to the row in front of her.

Security took her out and told her it was for medical. The dad and son actually stayed at the seats and I told them " you know you guys are getting thrown out, right?" They just looked at me and asked why. Sure enough, the yellow coats came back down and asked them to take her away and they all got the heave ho.

So not shocked he might be banned.
Not sure why anyone would give them...
EricJ : 12/3/2018 5:13 pm : link
any info as to where your seat is. Also, if this is security and not the state police, they are not getting my name either.
I had a buddy thrown out and banned at the old giants stadium

I've seen fake binoculars that you can fill with booze. Of course your buddy got thrown out. Could have cost the Giants $7 - $8 dollars.
Matt, that story is awesome

The woman puked at her seat and got taken away to be checked on, and her son and husband just stayed to watch the rest of the game?

"Hey Ma! Warm up the car while you're sitting out there with nothing else to do! We're going to watch the game. Fly Eagles Fly!"

So many times I could’ve been thrown out of the old Giants Stadium. Back in the 80s and 90s, it was a free-for-all, when sneaking in beers, the secret, was to get rid of the empties and don’t leave them under your seat!
Simpler times 😄
I miss the old stadium!
Glad I got to sell my psl’s 4 years ago...
I hear horror stories on trying to unload them now...

Is it true, that you can’t even forfeit your psl nowadays, you’re still responsible for the season tix?
That’s crazy if true....
Not me or MetLife

I have a friend who went to Heinz Field in his Patriots jersey and was harassed/threatened the whole game, beyond fun shit-talking. Someone made a BS call to security on him and he was escorted out.

They tried to get him to sign that lifetime ban paper, which would have been admission that he was the nuisance. He refused, confirmed where the exit was, and just walked out.

He was worried about it getting back to the PSL owner (his organization). I believe he got that part cleared up by calling in the next day.

My old section in 220a I got up and made a run for the stairs. I was lucky because it was the middle of the 1st quarter. I threw up all the way down the stairs and made it right outside of the stadium. I wasn’t done but there were cops everywhere. I took my winter hat off and started puking in that while walking. Kept it moving while puking walking past the cops. Don’t ever stop moving or your done lol...

I haven’t checked my season ticket agreement lately but I’m pretty sure that if you get kicked out they can take away your season tickets and you also lose your psl. Personally I think it’s bullshit but a lot of what’s gone on since they dumped this stadium on us has been garbage. There was a fight in our section with some punk Bears fans and a couple of older Giant fans. One of the Giant fans had to be held back from going at these guys and security went down there, calmed down the Giant fan and threw the Bear fans out of the stadium. The security guys in our section are good and know the ticket holders who come to the games and every time I’ve seen an incident they’ve taken the side of the season ticket holder and kicked out the fans of the opposing team.

Seriously, it wasn't far off from that. From the way they didn't seem too unnerved, I don't think it was the first time that "Mom" showed up at a public event bombed out her mind. They took her away, the dad and son stayed for a good 15 minutes until security came back down to get the dad. He went up the stairs and came back 5 min later and give the throat slash/kill sign to the son to indicate it was over. And he grabbed his things and headed out with him. He seemed genuinely stunned they were getting thrown out. I really need the Giants to be good again so I don't have to sit next to opposing fans anymore. Been going to the Stadium since 1987, that was the first time I saw that in my section.
A ban isn’t enforceable Iin that they can’t keep him
mikeinbloomfield : 12/3/2018 6:36 pm : link
from coming in. But if he’s banned and has any trouble on subsequent visits they’ll have record of his ban and he’ll be charged with trespassing.

I had trouble with a guy in the row behind me once at the old stadium. I wrote a letter to the Giants and got a nice apology and on field passes. The guy who owned the tickets showed up for the rest of the games because the Giants threatened him with taking away his tickets.

What is hypothetical? Your post seems to be in reference to an actual situation where a person was banned, and you are asking anyone else has been banned before? Where is the hypothetical part of this post?
how exactly do they ban you?

If you get a ticket, say without giving any personal info (gift, pay cash, etc) it's not like they have photos at the gate right?? LOL

friend, aren't you?

no big deal, one of my friends ran on the ice at a Phoenix Coyotes games in between the first and second periods and would have been banned for life but there was 100 fans at the game and they figured if he stayed he'd probably spend another $150 on beer between then and the end of the second , so he was just removed from the ice and escorted back to his seats.
I wouldn't be surprised in the least to find out
jcn56 : 12/3/2018 8:02 pm : link
they're using some sort of facial recognition. They've been piloting software from a couple of different vendors at sporting events for some time now, although I'm not aware of it being in use in conjunction with law enforcement.
I got kicked out for life when I was 18
Jerz44 : 12/3/2018 8:08 pm : link
I wrote them a polite letter requesting to be re-instated. My application was declined.

I've been back like 20+ times and no one cares or notices.
Yeah, I am not sure of all the facts
upstatenyg : 12/3/2018 8:18 pm : link
I assume he must have been belligerent. I have seen people puke and get walked to the door, never seen this.

They get your ticket and need id - it is a holding area with the met life security and there were NJ state police in holding area - I don't think he could have declined.

There’s probably

He must have been drunk and Belligerent. How would they know it wasn't a medical problem? And, why would they throw anyone out if it was a medical problem? Where is the Hypothetical part?

Indelible memories there growing up... going to games with my older brother and friends. Classic. I’ll never forget how we’d sneak in to games. You had him time it just right with both guards walking in opposite directions, hop the fence with the upper blue trim. Then haul ass up the turnstiles and into a section, preferably upper tier, and blend in. We never got caught. I once saw a guy who i didn’t know hop the fence with a small cooler in his hand— and it took him a long time lol, guard slowly strolled over and eventually escorted him back out, with cooler.

It was a side show in itself!

I saw some crazy stuff but it was all in fun for the most part!

Throwing money down the circles st halftime was priceless!
I saw everything from golf balls, tennis balls, snow balls and cold beers being tossed on those kids grabbing the money at the bottom of the pit...

We've had tickets since '95 and that's my take too. People realize they can go to a bar, right? Pay 1/3 the money, stay warm, get drunk and not get in trouble. I go to the games to watch them play, and I like to remember it after. Not saying I don't tailgate, but jeez.
