Winston Moss @Insanecane99 Ponder this... what Championship teams have are great leadership! Period! It’s not the offensive guru trend, it’s not the safe trend. Find somebody that is going to hold #12 and everybody in this building to a #LombardiStandard! Period! #losingsucks! |

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers dismissed Winston Moss, the associate head coach in charge of linebackers and a 13-year veteran of the staff , hours after a tweet about star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. |
riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....
Having said that, Aaron Rodgers is an asshole.
Internet is forever
Internet is forever
I'll do you one better. Don't tweet. Especially when referring to a coworker/employee.
I do enjoy a good train wreck though.
Sad that a QB has that much influence over the coaching staff.
1. He knew this would get him fired and felt it was worth tweeting in 'defense' of McCarthy anyway
2. Has a job lined up with McCarthy wherever he ends up
Hahahaha
This doesn't seem like an extraordinary act of stupidity or a deliberate attempt to get let go?
George Costanza doing donuts with the WS trophy was the pre-Twitter equivalent.
I saw an old NFLN special a few years ago about BB and Brady and it showed how much time they spent together 1 on 1 in BB's office going over film together. Why wouldn't these two try and have a meeting of minds instead of backstabbing like a couple of teenagers?
Of course. That's the kind of stuff you want everyone to keep in house. With players, it's tricky because they're a lot harder to replace. With a member of the coaching staff, who's easier to replace and is supposed to be held to a higher standard? No doubt about it.
LOL.
And, I don't understand what he's trying to say.
Absolutely. When you go public with that kind of criticism of your employer or other employees, you need to be fired. It does not matter at all if the criticism is valid or not.
If you have something to say, go to management. If they ignore you then you can choose to deal with it or leave. But this is not some kind of corporate whistleblower who deserves respect for speaking up.
If you really need to vent-find a wife, a friend a shrink or a dog. Jeez.
well, at least the coach wasn't fired 3 years ago.
Whining about Lombardi standard while coaching on that D for years...how about the plank in your own eye?
C'mon, for someone who spends a lot of time bemoaning the hit jobs by the media, that doesn't fly.
So when everyone ran around posting articles from unnamed sources and scouts about how Eli was done, was there smoke there as well?
I'm sure there's a good chance Rodgers is a grade A asshole. At the same time, he had a borderline incompetent coach for some time now, and everyone knew it. They've underperformed yet again, and the coach got the axe. Given that it was rumored that he and Rodgers weren't seeing eye to eye, articles smearing Rodgers are easily written and draw a lot of eyeballs for the media, right up their alley.
Rodgers may or may not be an asshole, but "Aaron Rodgers got this guy fired" is an incorrect interpretation of this story. The associate coach got fired because he is an idiot.

You made it seem like Rodgers made a negative comment about a coach in a tweet and then the coach was let go. You should've just gone with something closer to the actual headline of the article you shared: Packers fire associate head coach Winston Moss after tweet about Aaron Rodgers

LOL
That makes no sense. It's a business and I don't blame Rodgers for wanting to try something new. The analogy to Brady and BB is irrelevant since those two have 5 titles and 8 Super Bowl appearances.
This assistant coach deserved his dismissal. And who are all these people coming out of the woodwork about AR? We have one felon TE and a couple of McCarthys friends... that's not everyone or even close to it
What coach is going to join an organization where the inmates run the asylum? I predict Ben McAdoo will be the next coach because nobody with a proven track record is going to join an organization where the star player calls the shots.
So only those of pure heart win multiple Superbowls? Interesting take.
Yeah, what coach would want to take over a team with a HoF QB in his prime signed long term? They'd be lucky to get a special teams coordinator from D-3 school.
Cleveland has a ton of young talent on both sides of the ball. That team isn't far from being good.
Journalism today is clickbait. Scum.
Cleveland is an up and coming team, and everyone knows right now who is running the show in Green Bay.
Winston Moss tweeted this knowing Aaron Rodgers would fire him for it.

BBI suspects
The inference that Rodgers had this guy fired is completely false and intentionally misleading.
Well then... case closed. Bruce Arians said so.
