I didn't realize/maybe forgot that Plax actually caught 8 TDs in 2011. I don't recall him being that effective after donning the jailbird stripes.

god i remember that game. I saved the NFL Replay on my tivo. We could have lost that game too. After that TD by Cruz, we were killing Sanchez. It was a thing of beauty. Even that pic of Jacobs yelling at Ryan was awesome.

saying that he ran into Plax at the end of the year and asking him what happened to the Jets and the response was something like "Sanchez is Ass".

I remember that game like it was yesterday. I watched it at a bar in Deerfield, IL. Great times. Great season.

was in some controversy when the Jets imploded in 2011. Lots of articles and "unnamed players" called him lazy.

Plax was probably one of those guys. Especially with that offense around him, he had some talent to work with.

He came back after his stint in the clink and played two more seasons for the Jets and Steelers before retiring after a shoulder injury. He did a radio interview a few years ago and described how he immediately knew that his career was over after landing badly or taking the hit or whatever it was that hurt his shoulder in his final play as a pro
