Quinnen Williams is my second best player in the Draft behind Nick Bosa. Williams has been outstanding this season. Unblockable
I mean who else was on the board? Who was taken before Gary?
Bosa, Ferrell and Willaims 1,2,3. Jonah Williams, Greedy Williams, and Ed Oliver also gone.
Second round pick is Wisconsin T David Edwards
If it went down like that, I'd probably opt for Devin White or Josh Allen over Gary.
Love the second round pick of Edwards, but I don't think he lasts to the second. Hell, I don't even know if he'll declare.
I am all in on OLB Josh Allen. I just think he makes sense especially if we get rid of Vernon. There won't be a pass rusher available in free agency that will be a difference maker. I can also see DG get another pass rusher in round 4 since we have like 4 picks in that round.
Kyler Murray is reportedly considering playing pro football. He will likely choose baseball but if he is guaranteed to be a 1st round pick he might change his mind. He would pay back his signing bonus to the A's if he does choose football.

And then draft RT, C, TE, FB for Saquon.
Why would we draft a FB?

Better than Ed Oliver?
Now we are talking, I just hope he will be available Â
by the time we pick. Those who label him as just a 5 techniques must not have seen him play. I'm a Michigan fan, and while this year he was limited because of injury, I've seen him play all across the defensive line, and their scheme is a 3-4/4-3, 3-3-5 hybrid.
He's the type of player you want against teams that have QB's who can run with the ball.

In my opinion, yes. Admittedly, I didn't get to watch Oliver a lot because of the team he played for and because he missed a lot of the year with a knee injury, but I have seen a lot of Williams given that he plays for the Bama powerhouse and Williams is the real deal. He's an absolute terror on the interior line. I like Oliver a lot based on what I saw in 2017 and the Aaron Donald comparisons for sure are warranted, but Williams is even bigger, absolutely dominated the toughest conference in college football, and just as powerful, quick and twitchy as Oliver. I like Brugler's comparison to Gerald McCoy.

So according to Colin, there’s no QB worthy of a top 7 pick

Amazing how most of these players are defensive players. The debate on who we take is a good one but to me it is all about pass rusher who will start from day 1. Not sure where we will pick but if Gary can get the QB then draft him. I would rather have Allen as I feel he fits both our scheme and is ideal to attack today's NFL offenses.

Picks 3, 4, 5 - Is that a Law Firm? Williams, Williams and Williams......
I am hoping that they end up with the #1 pick. Their biggest need is a pass rusher. If they have the #1 pick they will have their shot at Bosa who should be too good to pass up. There is a very good chance that Herbert will fall several spots if they do with a pass rusher. If the Giants want Herbert their biggest threat is now Jacksonville. IMO they will go hard for Herbert if they don't add a QB in free agency. Hopefully they will sign Bridgewater or take a chance on someone like Winston.
...in the 10-15 range. Which would be a good thing, so maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, because developing a winning culture is more important than draft position. Unless it turns out that there's a QB I love in the draft. But I'm not feeling it right now.

Uh, uh, sounds too similar when we picked Pugh as the 7th OL picked in Round 1. I'd rather go best C or OL at that point.
GBN 2019 two round projection - ( New Window )
2 - Edwards - 2
4 - FS
4 - OC
5 - BPA
Is Herbert not entering the draft ???

What’s also funny is the 3 best QBs for the last 10 years at Brady Brees and Rodgers. None who were drafted in the top 10.
The best DL or OL who there is fine w me. This draft is LOADED on defense.
And Vernon needs to be gone the second the season is over so DE OLB looks to be as big a need as OL
