Decision must be made by 4:00. I wonder if these moves are an indication of what the plans are.
I dont think
Giantophile : 12/6/2018 10:41 am : link
they're happy with Dixon. He's been rather inconsistent.
Kenny Ladler
mrvax : 12/6/2018 10:41 am : link
entered the league in 2014 with the Bills then never played again until this year with the Redskins.
They brought in the punter
jv : 12/6/2018 11:06 am : link
because he's lefty and Washington's punter is lefty.
Signing of the punter is all about getting ready for Tress Way

Way is a lefty.

Mort, that's a really sharp observation. I'm being serious. Thanks for posting that, b/c otherwise I thought it sounded like a throw-away, worthless PS signing.

Well, now I see that's being reported in the press, too:

Special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey says they brought in Brock Miller because hes left-footed so he will help them prep for Washs Tress Way this week #Giants

Still like Mort's stuff on BBI, though.

7th in average, 9th in net average. Doesn't seem too inconsistent.

He's pretty consistent. I seem to remember maybe a few stinkers this year, but for the most part he's very consistent and a good holder for kicks too.

He's been a very pleasant surprise. A top 10 punter in the league this year.
One thing that is not being talked about enough
Snacks : 12/6/2018 1:24 pm : link
is the improvement on special teams. Particularly after the first couple of games where it looked like the same ol' thing. Punt returns in particular.

Both kickers are performing and coverage has been good. Gunners are working together with the punter and downing punts deep. We even seem to have found a good KR in Coleman.

AND that's with TQ still being around. ;)

The stats, I think, are misleading. He's gotten away with more than a few bad punts on good bounces. Coverage has been good this year, too, although the punter does have something to do with it. Overall I'd say he's been average.

Good point. This is why Bbi is excellent. Also, I feel as Dixon has been rather good this season. Do others feel different ?

I agree. Very pleased with Dixon.
It's not like Dixon is a weapon where you're looking forward to what h

e can do. He's been fine. But I wouldn't overstate things.
If you're complaining about Dixon

at this point, you'll never be happy with anything. He's done a perfectly fine job this season. Light years better than Wing.
