or am I getting old ... On the at opening kick-off by the Giants it looked like the kick went into the endzone and bounced straight up and did NOT go out of bounds? That is what it looked like to me .... and then not 1 player from the Redskins touched it - they just ran off the field. Isn't that a live ball?

Are my eyes getting worse - maybe somebody did catch it ... I could have sworn they let it bounce and ran off the field and then the Ref blew the whistle anyway which makes the play dead.

I am not kidding about my eyes btw.

New rule changed a few years ago. Player Safety.

Years ago when I first moved to Wisconsin. The Giants recovered two fumbles in the end zone against the Packers. Giants won 42-40 against the QB led Scott Hunter. I think it was 1971 or 1972. It might have been the game Bob Hyland of the Giants broke Packers head coach Dan Devine’s leg on a play that went out of bounds.
