I was reminded today of just how fast he is. For an athlete his size his acceleration is incredible. I really hope, with more time in the system, he develops a more consistent role. It's hard to be overly critical of any of the starters today, but I was happy with Engram's game.
I think with both OV and Engram, as frustrating as it is, you gotta sit back and give them a chance to get healthy. They are getting healthy.
St Tom brigade, really, someone points out a positive and you turn it into an attack on fellow BBIers....sad.
He’s a good kid and wasn’t a bad pick at all But people like you don’t get it. Two starting level OLs were passed up because of that moron’s total inability to judge that positions. Reese was a fucking idiot. Period. One of the worst in the league. The problem was he should have been fired ALONG w Caughlin.
The inbred idiots who keep defending the guy for making one good pick a year of that need to stop defending the guy. He was inept. As his drafts and shifty FA cal killing deals show.
I’d like to roll with a bigger offensive set - 1-2 TEs on the field at all times. Give Barkley extra blockers.
Just like Sterling Sharpe, TE in name only. But his mismatch is inside, like a slot, not a true WR.
Les please stick to hockey...
He's a WR not a TE !
When he gets just a little space, he runs away from corners and safeties. Only reason he didn't' score today on the 39 yard run is because he had four defenders cutting him off.
At 240 6'3", and running a 4.4 forty he is a mismatch both in the passing game and leveling little defenders, down-field in the run game for Barkley.
He has ALL PRO ability, he's just mis-placed with the Giants.

Worst in the league but somehow has 2 Lombardi’s to his name as a GM.
A ton of things led to the disaster it wasn’t just Reese.
Are there not a number of TEs these days who are not “complete” but can still be effective in a TE/Hback role?
I would assume you could always shift him to the slot or out wide to create a missmatch.
Would he miss that much not being in the WR room?
We no longer have Mike Pope, but I believe he has the body and desire to be coached up to be a better TE. He was never asked to block in college.
A serious question; if he is really better at WR than TE why did they put him there in college? Were they overloaded at WR?

The current narrative is that Reese either:
1) Held us back from winning 4-5 Lombardis, and/or
2) The Lombardis he won were really due to Accorsi and Gettleman.
I think Reese's tenure can be split in 2. The first half, he was a good GM - clearly since he won 2 Superbowls. The second half, he got arrogant and thought he could just patch the team and replicate 2007/2011, and by the time he realized he couldn't, it was too late. That and he spent 2 #1s and a #2 on the offensive line and it continued to get worse.
Now Chris Mara got his promotion after 2011. I'm not sure what role that played either.

Do you ever shut the fuck up? Jesus Christ
We can officially say your opinions sucks and you are here just to troll the board.
Doubt you’re even a Giants fan.
As for the two long receptions? The First one, he helped to pass block, and slipped out at the LOS and was wide open because no one covered him.....
The Second, was a 2 yard pass...if the DB didn't go for the int, he would have been tackled for a 2 yard gain....
I just don't understand the Giants not using him on more seam patterns where he is up to speed, instead of these short patterns...
Total.
BS.
He.can plant and explode. Excellent lateral quicks.
If he'd do what he should do best with some degree of consistency he'd be an asset and be put in that position more often, at least you'd hope. That said, he's made a couple of big plays in the last 2-3 weeks.
For anyone that was at the game today he was the fastest person on the field when given the chance. Lightning quick upfield
He can be as good as Brandon Marshall (6'5", 232) was in his prime. Marshall ran a 4.52 forty, Engram, 4.4.
Neither is shifty, just tall, fast and strong.
More kernels from Les than smart in TO

I think Shurmur is starting to figure that out .....
Would knock the crap out of sometimes one or two CBs & safeties, blocking for our RBs - he loved doing that.
I want to see Engram get that chance with Barkley running wild.

he actually made a post that didn't reference "fanboys". I mean his streak of posting absolute shit is intact, but I see some maturing going on....
How about 240 lb. vs 300+lb. at the L.O.S = A mismatch (unfavorable)
How about 240 lb vs 200 lb = A mismatch (favorable)
How about 6'3" vs 6'0" = A mismatch (favorable)
How about 4.3-4-4 forty vs 4.4 - 4.5 forty = A mismatch (favorable)
Plaxico, Bramdon Marshall, AJ Green, to name just a few tall WRs who were/are natural mismatches
