The fact that the defense did most of the work. Short fields and a lot of 3 and outs. Makes any offense look great
400+ yards of offense while taking the 4th quarter off. They had drives of 43, 78, 82, 53, and 81 yards, so while there is no question that it was a total, complementary team effort, it isn't true that their scoring was mainly based on short fields.

I see your point and agree to an extent but there is no denying improved line play hasnt helped Eli and Sequan. The defense didnt give Sequan 170 yards in 3 quarters !!
But that team with those injuries and it's 3rd string QB isn't even an NFL team anymore.
But with all the hype about their 17 people on IR remember that last year the Giants had, I believe, 26 on IR.
.
Very true, the train has completely come off the tracks down in D.C.
When the Giants can put up a fortyburger,
without ODB in the lineup, that tells you something.
I wouldn't have predicted it after 3 freakin' drives. Â
When was the last time we did what you are supposed to do to bad teams? Why do people take that away from the Giants when they do what they should do? That in and of itself tells you something is going right with this team. We have been clearly trending upward and people just say it's because of shitty opponents. Well a few weeks ago we were the team everyone else expected to shit stomp. Be happy, this team is showing some serious improvement.
I for one, enjoy not being the NFL's doormat anymore. You can't look past the GMEN anymore. Our offense beat up the Bears defense that just made the Rams look pedestrian last night. Think about that for a minute.

Good point, and you should not take beating bad teams for granted. Last week I'm sure green bay fans expected to easily beat the cardinals. they did not, and the coach ended up fired. This week I'm sure bronco fans expected to beat the 49ers, and they did not. (There is speculation that that might get the coach fired.) And I'm quite sure that steeler fans expected to win against the raiders. They did not, and their almost sure playoff appearance is now very much in doubt.
The cardinals, 49ers, and raiders are probably the 3 worst teams in the league, but look what they have done over the last 2 weeks.

Agreed, the Giants were in the basement of the league. Beating anyone is a step in the right direction and destroying a team that you should beat is even better. It is great to dominate without Beckham too.
RE: I don't know about 40 points but Tim predicted Eli to play well Â
Eli plays well

With lesser receivers. Less forcing, more reading who's open
On the Beckham is out vs. Washington thread. He got ripped for saying that.
Good call, Tim.
Didn’t understand why he’s was getting ripped for saying that. Good for Tim. Shurmur deserves some credit too. McAdoo was lost without Odell and then loved to act like it was all Eli’s fault. That being said, I’ll be happy when Odell comes back ASAP.
OBJ is a terrific player but I also believe that Eli forces the ball to him. That’s Eli’s fault, not OBJs. I have no idea why Eli feels the need to force anything to anyone. But...
It wasn't until the defense scored and then gave the offense a short field(and the offense couldn't take advantage, getting a fg), that it finally got untracked...
RE: RE: RE: Barkley has more receptions this year than Beckham Â
And, there is a good chance he breaks Beckham's rookie reception's record.
Truly stupid post. You forgot Beckham missed the first 4 games of his rookie year?
I didn't forget shit. I'm pointing out FACTS you dumb fuck!
I don't think it was a stupid post at all. Missed 4 games or not, OBJ is a WR who's primary job is to catch the ball. Barkley's job is to run the ball. I think it says a ton when your RB is your leading receiver and a helluva lot more when said RB might break the rookie receiving record. I don't think anyone thought that record would be touchable for a long time.
that offense is better when Beckham is playing is crazy. Beckham, Barkley and Engram compliment each other and help keep teams from taking one them out of the game.

There always has to be at least one in a thread mentioning Odell.
Who knew football was a team sport.
Better bring this up in the next Eli bashing thread, I bet you.

I'd like to see Engram used in the slot more.
