A movie doesn't have to be either The Godfather or hollow, redundant crap. It's possible to make films about Godzilla that are well-written, well-acted, and use special effects artistically.
Movie studios can do that and still make tons of money. I guess it requires too much work, though. Why bother putting in the effort when you can apparently make big box office numbers by mailing most of it in?
Even the trailers for these movies involve minimal effort. They all look and sound EXACTLY the same. There's obviously a template that they all use.
As a kid I loved Godzilla movies. Seems like a lot of monsters to cram into one movie just to have Godzilla vs Kong as the third movie (which sounds dumb).

Absolutely excited to see this, although it very likely will be panned by the critics and serious movie buffs everywhere. I won't care.
