I have fond memories of Saturday games from my childhood/teen years. Maybe a sappy, sentimental thing, but it conjures the arrival of the holidays, in earnest.
So here we go, Saturday we have:
* Texans at Jets (4:30 p.m.) ... likely a shit show, but at least for us, a chance to see Darnold some more and realize Barkley was the right choice. lol
* Browns at Broncos (8:20 p.m.) ... looking forward to seeing the kid quarterback against Denver.
Week 16 Saturday:
* Redskins at Titans (4:30 p.m.) ... could miss that one. Than again, might be worth having on in the background if the Skins are going t get torched again. And if they sign Kaepernick, at least that would be a little bit interesting, I suppose.
* Ravens at Chargers (8:20 p.m.) ... should be a good ball game. Haven't seen the Chargers yet. Let's see just how good they are.
Then back to everyone playing Sunday for Week 17, with 13 games starting at 1 p.m.
The three 4:25 p.m. games are:
* Chargers at Broncos
* 49ers at Rams
* Cardinals at Seahawks
Couple stinkers there ... might games be changed for that day to later if there are "playoff implications?"
I love it. A couple of games to get your toes wet for the weekend. Always in December after the college season which is a fun time of year anyway.
Went to 2 of these games for NYG in the not too distant past. 02 over the Eagles. 05 over the Chiefs.
Also, those aren't the only 4PM games for week 17. They initially schedule everything but mountain and west coast games for 1, then will move a few games with playoff implications.
So, yes, it'll be fun seeing the Chargers and Ravens on Saturday week 16. The Ravens took KC down to the wire.
We were going to have a Saturday game this year had the game had value when the game was switched in the middle of the season.
If you recall when the schedule came out, there were were 4 games on the Week 16 schedule that did not have a definite date selected. It was either going to be December 22 or 23. The Giants game with the Colts was one of them. But when both teams were poor back in October, we got moved to Sunday.
I remember them beating the Chiefs in 1988, something like 33-12. They also played and defeated the Warren-Moon led Oilers around that same time. And in 1990, they lost at home to Buffalo in a pouring rain on a Saturday afternoon (I distinctly remember watching this game lying at home on my couch with a very sore throat; my mom had taken me to the doctor and I was really angry that I had to miss the 1st quarter, but the only available appointment conflicted with kickoff).

Good to know.
If the Giants-Dallas game "means anything," could it be moved?
Quote:
I wish we would have them every year like we used to .Seems the Jets get the Saturday game every year now

If we're still alive, sure. (Not expecting it, but fingers crossed).
12:00, 3:15, 6:30 and 10:00pm.
You did nawt.
