I don't know to much about him. He seemed to play well when he started in the league. Since he got hurt (broken leg?) he hasn't stood out like he did. Not sure if Chucky likes him, I've heard different opinions.
Would he fit in with Shurmur? (Even if you like Shurmur or not he's not going anywhere for the foreseeable future).
If he's available and it's reasonable I wouldn't mind a trade, but what's reasonable. A first? and a fourth?
What do you think?
He hasnt thrown an interception since week 5. He has absolutely no running game, a leaky O-line that is worse than ours at this point and he is throwing to household names like Seth Roberts, Marcell Ateman and a washed up 33 year old Jordy Nelson.
Frankly, it is a much worse situation than Eli has here and he has performed pretty well considering.
I agree. Gruden's track record is replete with veteran QBs leading his teams. He has never been comfortable with rookie QBs. So I don't expect that to change by investing a high pick in one. And dealing with those potential growing pains, especially with needs at WR, OL, RB - essentially the entire offensive corp, would be utter torture for Gruden.

Wait for the Raiders to release Carr, and he can sign to be Eli's back-up like his brother did. Kyle can go to the PS. No one is going to steal his noodle arm.
Agree, at least extend him 5+ years..there's no qb better than him to replace him as we can see.
I've seen excuses given to QBs whose cupboards are stocked a hell of lot more than Carr's, that's for damn sure.
Can't link now, but you might want to check it out. MVP candidate just a couple years back who is rounding into form following a massive transformation in the team.
I'm not saying he's the guy, but a lot of people are easily dismissing him. I think that stats need to be taken in context.
He may need to get his confidence back, but he'd be worth our #1 imo...and they'd likely expect and demand more for him.
And his future salary is a plus unless you hit on a franchise QB who'd come cheaper for several years. But, again imo, it's more likely that a team could miss on a pick than miss on Carr.
I’m with you Boss. If we’re going to draft a quarterback we’re better off making a move to get our guy in 2920. I like the three you mentioned better then anyone in the 2919 class. I doubt we’ll be able to get Tua without paying a kings ransom but Fromm is a guy I really like.

Don’t want him. I’m hopeful the next NYG QB is one of Tua, Fromm, or Trevor Lawrence. But to do so, I know the NYG would have to sell off tons of draft capital, including multiple 1’s.

I meant 2019 and 2020, Eli is durab,e but he’s not going to last that long
