It goes without saying that our chances of making the playoffs are slim to none. Everyone understands the sheer lunacy of our chances, despite the fun that goes into scenario watching.
With that said, whether it be 1%, 2% or 10%, the fact the Giants are playing better football and are at least "in the hunt" for the Wild Card two weeks away from Xmas is fund.
What else could you possibly ask for after starting 1-7. Side bar, how important & painful is that 63 yarder in Carolina now?
As a long time fan, I'll be satisfied with a home crowd that remains engaged and psyched up for W's, for slim chances.
I believe Eli Manning will be the QB of our team next year on a discount. I also think the Giants will grab a QB in round one or two. For me, the idea of Eli playing out his final year, mentoring a promising young kid, and giving us one more playoff run would be ideal.
Use the draft to pick RT, Center and DE. Use JPP's and Snacks money to fill holes, franchise Collins.
On Sunday I will be totally tuned in at 1pm, and checking all scores and watching both the Sunday and Monday nighters which have big implications for us.
If you can't have fun with this, what's the point? Better than being 2-11 right now.

There was also zero reason to tank in hopes of Herbert. One, he's not a sure thing coming out of Oregon by any stretch. Two, he might not even come out.
At 8-8, we might not have a shot at him, but we will have a shot at any other arm in the draft.
Keep winning, keep having fun.
Last month I wrote a post on the "importance of learning how to win." We are figuring it out and confidence continues to grow in Shurmur, which is absolutely crucial. If he has full buy-in heading back into this offseason, good things will come.
Look at where Mahomes, Watson, Rosen and Lamar Jackson all went.
You always have options, and you just trade up if you're sold on the guy.
If the playoffs happen, great but the most important thing is to get better.
But yes, the fact we are still in it after that horrible start is tremendous fun.
You want to hear my dream?? Win against Tennessee, still be in the mix and literally the Sunday before XMas, with a week of work off ahead, we are playing a real game against the Colts for even slight wild card implications.
That would be enough for me right there. A gift in itself
I m also really on board with getting a young quarterback and allowing Eli to finish his contract with Giants.
One way I differ though is this.
The second half collapse against the Eagles, after actually having a meaningful game no one even considered a possibility at 1-7, has left a sour taste in my mouth, and taken away some of the optimism wins against the Bears and a decimated physically and emotionally Redskins team have spawned
I m still pissed at Eli for what I consider a momentum changing interception right before half.
After a 1-7 start, you just can’t make that mistake there. To me at the most crucial pt of the season they spit the bit.
Until they are in that type of situation again and find a way to close the deal, I remain skeptical.
So yes I excited for a game that means something, but not really believing this team when it really matters has what it takes.
