So apparently Steph Curry is another dope who thinks the US has never landed on the Moon. He mumbles something about Stanley Kubrick being big at the time, intimating that he was important in staging the entire event.
NASA offered to give Curry proof the next time the Warriors are in Houston to play the Rockets. I'm sure he will decline.
I just don't understand these people who doubt Moon landings or think the Earth is flat. What the fuck is going on in their pea brains?
How can anyone who claims to be sane believe that the earth is flat?
I just don't get it.
As feared, the cameras didn't function, Kubrick's footage was inserted and the hybrid happened. Man landed on the moon, but the footage of the man walking there was faked. Kubrick called in his favor a few years later when he needed a special NASA camera(the only one in the world at the time) to film the candlelight scenes on Barry Lyndon.
And that's the truth.
Based on this idiocy, Curry appears to be a long, long way from graduating.

Although astonishing and hard to believe it occurs I guess I can see how some people might shut off all common sense and instead choose to buy into some type of conspiracy theory of us never having been to the moon. But like you I can't even wrap my head around how anyone today can believe the earth is flat. Is that really even a thing?

He’s actually an incredibly smart guy. His reasons are all technically plausible so they are interesting even if I don’t believe them. Many of them revolve around me (or anyone else) proving to him how he’s wrong and I usually don’t feel like taking them time to do it so I just laugh. But if I do provide a “fact” like curvature effecting sightlines, he will say the math is wrong. He will then say according to the math if he’s on his boat in Long Island sound he shouldnt be able to see the bottom of buildings in Manhattan.
I’ve never cared enough to go at it with him but that’s generally what he will come back with.

nice quote, but then why are you on BBI? lol, j/k
I'm always curious to hear where they think the western and eastern edges are. And what happens when your flight crosses that edge and you wind up where you're going without turning around.

LMAO. You mean, this is a conspiracy you heard from some stupid documentary online somewhere right?
I pray to God people aren't so gullible as to take this story seriously. But, hey, Steph Curry did...
LOL. The amount of government personnel they'd need to cover entire "edges" of the earth to effectively turn people back wouldn't even be feasible.
There are so many simple, logical reasons as to why the Earth being flat just isn't possible. But some people will just keep deflecting and refuse to hear anything that doesn't jibe with their own theory.
Very amusing, that's for sure.
The 1st, 3rd and 5th
No seriously though, that's a good question.
I also wonder if the flat earthers believe that all the other planets are also flat?
So where exactly is the edge supposed to be?
How does he explain global travel?
Wouldn't people from certain regions have to travel a long way, west for example, to go what we would consider a shorter distance east?
Not picking on athletes there are dumb people in all professions, but athletes and celebrities who have a voice and use it sometimes embarrass themselves.
I know one flat-earther, he's also a 9-11 conspiracy theorist, Sandy Hook hoaxer, holocaust denier...basically an idiot. They prey on people like that. Low IQ, easily manipulated.
These brave men risked their lives to accomplish one of the greatest feats in human history, just so some little shit who throws a ball in a ring can say it didn't happen?

If he is smart, ask him if he knows what spherical geometry is or for that matter navigation. Because the calculations for distance and direction are based on the earth being a sphere, not a flat surface. Called the great circle route
Also, if he believes that the space station is up there then ask him what it is rotating about.

I'd ask him why its quicker got airplanes to fly on an arc than it is for them to travel somewhere on a straight line.
Also, in response to the comment (not you) of the govt stopping ppl from reaching the edge... which government? Is it a global conspiracy that all the governments of the world are in on? Lol
It’s bizarre. He’s got an answer for everything even if they are shitty answers like “that video isn’t real”. I asked him “is there any chance that any of what you believe in isn’t true” and he says there’s none. That’s why I don’t bother and just egg him on, there’s really no point in being serious about it with him.

LeBron takes a lot of crap -- but this accusation is too much!

and my coworker claims that civilians can only go so far and that people in the Arctic have reportedly been turned around by the government so they wouldn’t reach “the edge”. It’s truly amazing, haha.
The guy I know who is a Flat Earther runs on the same premise - that the edges of the Earth are patrolled to keep the secret from getting out. First off, who has this jurisdiction, and where do any of these people patrol since the "edge" has never been seen by anyone? Those are the questions I always ask.
I also ask how the flight paths and times are shown when on International flights and he said the aviation industry is controlled and the flight paths they show the passengers are faked.
You have to be so paranoid as well as ignorant to believe that kind of crap.
if that is his real name

NASA was nervous about the landing going wrong following the blowup on the launch pad and Nixon was super obsessed that the world seeing the man step on the moon combined with the 50-50 chance the cameras would actually work, so NASA enlisted Kubrick to film a simulated landing in case the cameras didn't function. He did so with a skeleton crew (most of all met untimely deaths following the shoot).
As feared, the cameras didn't function, Kubrick's footage was inserted and the hybrid happened. Man landed on the moon, but the footage of the man walking there was faked. I thought I was going nuts reading that and everyone just glossing over it.
Is there some massive globe manufacturer behind it all?
Wouldn't the map people want the lie exposed?
Now this had me laughing. That's great.
Somehow 400 thousand US citizens kept up the secret behind the biggest fraud of all time?
And go!

That's what they want you to believe.
NASA said the grainy picture was because they were actually shooting the screen at NASA to transmit to TV, not a made up Kubrick premade film. IIRC they had transmission malfunction, but the actual picture of Armstrong stepping on the moon was clear and that is what the engineers in Houston saw. Also why the rest of the videos were so clear. Apparently the initial video was destroyed.
If you want further proof, go tell Buzz Aldrin he wasn't on the moon - and then duck. He's already popped someone who said that to him.
Or any of the list of idiot engineers and architects who belong to the Truther movement of 9/11 and push the thermite theory (and sadly, there's a published list of those idiots and it's not short).
