NFT: Steph Curry and the Moon landings

B in ALB : 12/11/2018 7:19 pm
So apparently Steph Curry is another dope who thinks the US has never landed on the Moon. He mumbles something about Stanley Kubrick being big at the time, intimating that he was important in staging the entire event.

NASA offered to give Curry proof the next time the Warriors are in Houston to play the Rockets. I'm sure he will decline.

I just don't understand these people who doubt Moon landings or think the Earth is flat. What the fuck is going on in their pea brains?

LeBron takes a lot of crap -- but this accusation is too much!

LOL.

NASA ADMITS WE NEVER WENT TO THE MOON!

And go! Link - ( New Window )

I can't tell, was this supposed to be satire? It's not funny, so I'm guessing it's not. It seems to be predicated on taking a few astronauts statements about the future of commercial space travel and twisting it into NASA making definitive statements that they never went to the moon.

I’ve ran into a few flat earthers. While I certainly never would be one I too find some of their counter arguments interesting. For me, it’s just too much. You have to believe the entire space program is fake, gravity isn’t real, satellites done exist, Antarctica is a massive ice wall holding the oceans in with a limitless plane in all directions on top of the wall, planets don’t even exist, and more.

However, most of the basic questions you guys are mentioning like “where’s the edge”, circumnavigation, time zones, day and night actually do all work on a flat earth map.

For those interested in how the whole thing would even work I suggest watching something like this (doesn’t prove anything just shows how it even work). Would at least provide ammo to debate these guys.

My kids all believed the Moon landings were a hoax....

until Joe Rogan did an in-depth exploration of the controversy, and resolved it. Apparently Joe also thought it was a hoax until his hour-long treatment convinced him otherwise.

Now, the kids believe and I owe oe a thnk you note

I'm guessing flat earthers don't believe in global warming. Because with Antarctica surrounding us all, we're really f***ed!
Yeah definitely not lol
ZGiants98 : 12/12/2018 11:10 am : link
They don’t even believe there are poles. Just magnetic north in the middle of the map.

Joe Rogan was a massive moon hoax conspiracy guy. He was the lead guy talking about it for years. If you go back and watch some of his earlier stuff it’s crazy. Flat earthers think he was bought off.

This shit is glorious. If you take maps from >1000 years ago (before planes, cars, trains, etc existed) as "truth" and toss out everything we know about physics, then it just logically flows that the earth is flat...

And of course the military has bases in the earth's core!!!

Can the guys putting that together, particularly the "blue marble" clips, really believe it? Or is this some giant pyramid scheming that they're profiting from?

Supposedly he has 200 PROOFS it’s flat. I can promise any flat earther probably became one because of this guy. I find it pretty amusing if nothing else.

santacruzom : 12/13/2018 1:54 am : link
To see if he seemed to be joking though? If not, how can we tell if this claim of a joke is fake or not? With no observable evidence, we must assume the joke claim was faked.

Why would I apologize, except to say I did not see that? Good for Mr Bungle, I confirmed what he reported independently. Great minds think alike.

So if I am a conspiracy theorist on a given topic but change my mind upon seeing proof, then conspiracy theorists generally will accuse me of starting a new conspiracy?

LawrenceTaylor56 is just being a dildo. Of course I never asked for "credit" or an apology. I was merely mentioning that my mind went to the same place as yours -- when Buzz punched that guy in the face.
if Curry it would be VERY expensive lie

The denial of science and fact is wrong on every level. Not only is it disrespectful to the to the tens of thousands of brilliant, hard working people that made it happen but it sets a very dangerous precedent. If you deny this aspect (fact) of history, where does it end? The holocaust didn't happen? Slavery didn't happen?

I don't find these people amusing or entertaining at all, They're idiots who wear tinfoil hats and believe that when the new hundred dollar bills were introduced the metallic strip on them was there to track you (yes, I had this conversation at a BBQ a couple years ago. Bat shit crazy)
