is Sean Chandler. I like what I saw out of him on Sunday, but it was also one game. However, what he puts on tape could go a long way in determining to the organization if he is the starting FS of the future.
He’s a bit bigger, but has some of the same limitations and less speed. Seems like a third-safety prospect who can fill in at either position, and contribute in dime packages and on specials. I think guys like Chandler and Haley will be good value at the bottom of the 2019 roster, but they will be picked on if they take a lot of snaps.
Obviously, the team can’t fill every hole overnight. There will be weak links in the lineup. If Chandler starts, he’s likely to one of them.
Which may be really at least 4 if not 5 distinct positions in this D (free, strong, cover types like corners, zone types, interior/exterior gap rush lbs, pass D lbs, classic lbs, etc)
.......are probably all on the radar in the draft - in any - case.
Assuming Carter and Ogletree are lock roster players, there is almost nobody else solid. Vernon is even a?.
Defensive backs play - has improved the last few games, but beyond jackrabbit, no big time names. I could see safety being a priority. Add one great all around dback and two impact lbs.

Wrong thread.

But that would be super if the player plays well!
