Not terribly or anything. He only had one bad year. But he always gets nicked up at some point in a season, where he misses time and/or is limited. So fucking frustrating.
Like how the team improved with the loss of Shockey?
Basing that off of a win against a terrible Redskins team with no QB?
Let's see what happens this weekend.
I don't argue the point that the Giants will face more man coverage without OBJ and that helps Eli, who is stymied by cover 2 in his latter years, but any comparison of OBJ to Shockey doesn't not do justice to what an pain in the ass (in terms of harming the actual game plan) Shockey was during his time here.
But with his injuries, the shitty offense he's had most of his career, OBJ will fall short of his potential. I feel like his best season was his first. He's still a stud, but I'm not sure he's going to be an all-time great like I was a few years ago. He'll likely be a HOFer but he had the potential to as someone said about LT on the Mount Rushmore at the very least of WRs. Instead, he'll be an elite player that could have been even more. So frustrated with him right now.
One more knife in the heart on an unflagged penalty that not only ices the game, but puts an offensive weapon on the sidelines for 2 consecutive weeks.

You are frustrated that he will only be a HOF caliber player?
Do I have that right? Just checking because that sounds insane.

I thought he'd be an all time great, so yeah I don't think he'll achieve that.
Prone to injury. If he doesn't come back, he will have missed 20 games in 5 seasons for various injuries. Hamstring, ankle, quad.
He's missed his share of games for various injuries. There is at least somewhat cause for concern.
Yeah and TWELVE of them came in one season, due to a freak injury. We don't know yet if he'll miss the last two games, so to date he's missed 18, with 12 coming all at once.

There is no "somewhat cause of concern".
So let's say he misses the next 3 games (At this point, even an optimist would say is likely). 3 of his first 5 seasons, he's missed at least a quarter of the season to injury. A guy we gave $40M guaranteed to.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying we should not have paid him. I'm just saying personally i'm concerned with his injury history.
like Samuel L Jackson in Unbreakable, then obviously something is wrong.
It's Football. They don't hit each other with pillows. He took a helmet to the ankle, which broke it. And he got an illegal leg whip from a DB which did something to his hamstring. The only way to avoid injuries is to not play.
haters can just STFU. It's a broken record. For the most part you guys are racist AF. Like to run your mouth about a HOF player.
This guy gives 110% of his heart, soul, and body to play in practice and on the field, and all you haters just shit on him.
Just give it a rest.
This a shitty post. Unbelievable.
You have no place to speak. The Serena shit shows exactly where you stand.
You better have more than that to come at me and where I stand on the issue. You are the one who are showing true colors making statements you cant back up.
Not only should your asinine shit be deletd, but your account as well.
They are both white players. OBJ isn't, so you know he is a cancer because of it.
I don't think the haters hate just because OBJ is black. It's his life style/culture/antics that upsets them. For example, Barkley is like a choir boy and if he got hurt, you'd hear a lot less shit. I support OBJ 100%.
immediately. His vendetta is clear as day. Making up lies and accusing people of being racist as fuck is just downright pathetic and worse than anything that is already disallowed here.
Christ.
for the record I had no racist intention with my post Â

I don't think people understand what injury prone actually means.
If we lose on Sunday, I think they'll probably just shelve him for the rest of the year.
Hmm, some as in posters on BBI you mean.

2 full years
Probably just bad gas.

The only injury he's had that could be considered 'self-inflicted' is the hammy. The others were unavoidable football injuries.

Oh shut up.
The likelihood of you sensing anything is basically zero.

Not one single poster did. Dont leave. Your opinion matters. Just someone trying to push an agenda thats not there whatosever.
I never insinuated you did. You didn't at all.
It's a microaggression that exists that Dep doesn't want to recognize because he lives in his little-closeted world where racism/sexism doesn't exist.
